Gronk got his so many times in the knees. What else do you want guys to do when you limit so much of where they can hit and how they can hit someone and have to make that decision in a split second and you have a much smaller guy trying to tackle a large guy that has all the leverage and center of mass. The easiest to tackle someone like that and go for a high percentage tackle and be successful is to take their legs out. Any other spot you’ll either miss, get shrugged off or end up being the one incapacitated.

I wonder if Stafford was this quick to call out Ndamukong Suh when he was stomping on fools heads back in the day? That was actually dirty. This is the product of too many rules restricting how a defender should tackle. Too many times have they made a clean tackle and it got flagged and they get fined because it looked violent. So they start going low. Also DB’s have notoriously gone low against TE’s. I don’t think some folks realize the small amount of time a defender has to size up his target and make the hit and the speed both players are going. So when he’s already low making a diving shoulder pad tackle on the legs he’s usually aiming for the lower part of the thigh and when he went to make the tackle he can’t account for the defender having to stay up to catch a ball that was high, which this one was, so then it throws of the timing of the tackle and only the defender is held accountable and it’s just not right. My team is sitting at home watching the playoffs. This is just coming from a longtime fan of the game getting tired of folks not understanding the game they claim to love and just want to argue instead of appreciate the game. I’m 29 by the way. Kids younger than me don’t know the history but claim their students if the game but can’t even tell me what cover 1 means

I’m a Stanford fan but you threw the ball and to come up and touch him then back up saying you’re dirty was pretty cringe like prime example of sneak dissing . Not a fan of the crowd booing him tho! Come on y’all he made the lions worth watching for 12 seasons im happy for him and I’m sure he was happy for us before he got bood all game like he never did any thing for this city inside and outside of football

Lmao it isn’t. It’s a “brotherhood” right? That’s what they all say. If you want everyone launching at the knee then kiss the nfl goodbye. Most teams and coaches have enough class or believe they have enough talent not to do that. Unfortunately Detroit is so devoid of success that they will do anything for a 2nd round exit over a 1st

@@UprightCaucasoid LMAO Rams players went for Laportas knee several times throughout the game. So if we're gonna talk about dirty the Rams are dirty ASF too. They targeted his knee on his very first catch on the first possession of the game by the sidelines, probably because they saw he was playing with a knee brace on from a hyperextension he suffered the week prior against the Vikings from the same hit Higbee took, then the Rams targeted that same knee multiple times later on throughout the game. So miss me with that "dirty" play bullshit. Go cry somewhere else.🤡
