After Zack Kassian received a two-game suspension for his incident with Matthew Tkachuk, the Flames All-Star says this isn't the place to bring up the Battle of Alberta and is actually looking forward to sharing the ice with Oilers' stars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

I have no love for a predator who crossed the line and won't answer the bell...if that's the new NHL, (according to the hypocrites who make and enforce the rules), they can shove today's ringette where the sun don't shine! There's a code or game within the game, that the players adhere to and virtually everybody with non-bias creditabily, on all levels, have sided with Kassian. This thing has become an embarrassment to the NHL...shame on those that have ruined the greatest league going!

On the other hand, the Flames lost to the Habs and Senetors, and they won against the Leafs in a shootout, ultimately losing a point. If he had no interest in fighting he shouldn't of targeted a guy who is known to fight. And yes the turtle was targeting kass, if watch the hits back you will see he went out of position to hit kass. You people obviously never played hockey if you cant understand why kass isn't in the wrong here. Many of ex NHL players are on kassians side because they've played the game and they understand that part of it. I bet there's not many guys around the league who respect turtle boy. I value respect over a lot of things, and i bet many do as well.

If Tkachuk wanted to really hurt Kassian, he could’ve murdered him with those hits. But he tucked in the elbow, no jump, glided into both hits. I actually think he showed restraint. But there’s no doubt in mind Tkachuk targeted Kassian specifically. He knew he could goad Kassian into a penalty and it worked perfectly. Flames won the game with that powerplay.

Hate him as a player... he reminds me of Torres and Marchand. If he didn't fucking turtle every time he's supposed to answer for his dirty hits I would have a lot more respect for him. That being said he was surprisingly well spoken in this interview and as Kassian said; he's a good player he just has to figure that aspect out in his game. Hoping the backlash he gets from turtling is enough for him to realize he should either make cleaner hits or answer for the dirty ones, and if he can do that he might not take Marchand's title of Queen Rat.

You know If I was McDavid I would hold a players only meeting (without Tkachuk) and get everyone to agree (including the goalies) to simply not share ice with this punk. Then go to the coaches refs AND bettman and simply say, as a group. If he is one the ice we won't be. What a phony one game he does too low blindsided hits completely uncalled for , the next game and then he says just here to have fun then cover it all up January twenty-nine payback time. Oiler Fans don't get mad We get even. The best thing that could happen is that Tkachuk get hurt and be out of the lineup for the rest of the season. Matthew tkachuk needs to play in the Eastern Conference so we don't see him very often
