Just my personal opinion -- the "set thru" sculpted neck joint on an ESP eclipse is probably my favorite, when it comes to single cuts anyway.

Just make it neck thu and cut off that edge

Instead of people knocking it and getting bad about it, try being happy they are trying to progress in the first place. The LP has been around for decades and has not had alot of real changes. This is progress at least :)

It's a 22 fret guitar guys, even Harley Benton gets the job done smoothly on their LPs. With their volume Epiphone should be able to afford a deviation from their standard assembly method.

u should get a better mic man i can hear every pop and crackle in your setup and could barely hear u talking about the neck joint even though u were right in front it

I have played extensively on the new Epiphone heel joint and I own one of the old MKH guitars. I can say from experience with both, that when it comes to comfortability playing up on the higher frets for a longer period of time, the old Heel joint is much more efficient. For me it’s not about the looks. The new joint actually looks a lot better in comparison. The super smooth and flat work doesn’t look like it would be very good. I can say from experience that the old joint feels better to play on. Maybe people with bigger hands will have the squareness problem on the top base end, but for me anyway, I think it’s 10 times more comfortable

I love that you care enough to actually explain this whole thing to people. Would have been so easy for you to just go "It's my guitar! I do what I want with it!"

I have the original 7 black. The best guitar I ever played. And since you used it so much, both studio and live, of course you would know how to improve it.

The access heel on the Snøfall model has spoiled me on my other Les Pauls!
