Hey, welcome! Impact LX Mini is a great affordable all rounder keyboard. Esp if you are just gonna start out and throw down some chords and melodies. I even used it for a live gig. That said, if you want more intricate keyboard response I would look for a more expensive solution, like the Keystep 37. But as I mentioned, it's all about how much you want to invest and how elaborate playing you want to do. Komplete Kontrol is also very good keybeds. Hope this makes any sense! Cheers, // Matt

@@MattiasHolmgren Thanks for your reply and your time. I had a good look at the keystep 37 per your recommendation. But I love the idea of having the pads integrated with the keyboard. What I would like is more keys though, so was looking at the nektar impact lx49 after researching both controllers. Hoping to make some complete songs with some good atmosphere. Will definitely be looking at your setup vids in the weeks to come! Thanks again.

I personally own and use the Komplete Kontrol mnin 32... no pads.. but the keyboard is very nice and that extra range of 7 keys gets you a whole extra octave...

I can only speak for the Impact XL Mini. And it works great, I used it for a live gig last summer. 👌😄🥁

i'm really stuck at the choice phase .... which one to choose for 75% live use (some keyboard are not good when there is not light ...) , and 25% studio use. I already have Launchpad pro Mk3 (which is fantastic for DAW control in addition to my Novation launchkey 61 Mk3). -Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol M32 (simple, 37 keys ...) -AKAI Professional MPK mini Plus (pad +37 keys , and akai knob) -Arturia MiniLab 3 Black (simple, very cool when in darkness environnement) -M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini (37 key, and a lot of button) -Nektar Impact LX Mini (workflow here, so no surprise ..., but a lot fo shift needed , usb strange port , on left side ... ) -Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 (i already knew is workflow, but only 25 keys ... no screen , a lot of shift action ... not good in live) i need this device to feet in my bag with my Launchpad pro mk3, Lenovo X260 and my scarlett 8i6). Sound design (instruments live edit) is not my priority, i prefer to live looping and record with key cool groove , bass etc in loop slot.

Step 1: update firmware on the Impact Lx Mini. Step 2: make a factory reset by: hold octave up + octave down while powering on. If its not recognized in Bitwig by now. Contact Nektar support, they have been very helpful. Good luck!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH: As per your advice I could activate the NEKTAR IMPACT LX MINI. Earlier my sound system which has been sourced through Focusrite & ASIO AND SCARLET HEADPHONE has been working nicely. but while NEKTAR IMPACT LX MINI has been activated I lost my sound system. WHILE NEKTAR IMPACT LX MINI ACTIVATED and opened the BITWIG,but no sound was coming., then I tried to ACTIVATE THE AUDIO ENGINE in BITWIG BUT IT NEVER ACTIVATED. While I have DETACHED the NEKTAR IMPACT LX MINI keyboard i got the message that your sound engine has crashed. I immediately sent the crash report to BIGTWIG. PLEASE advise ME why my sound input and output method was not working.

Hmm almost sounds like a USB power issue. What computer are you using? PC I assume? How do you connect the gear, using a usb hub?

Hi no I did not notice any issues with the pitch joy. Can you see if the little yellow square light up / appears (at the bottom device panel) on the midi (instrument) track when you move the joy? The yellow dot indicates when there is midi activity.

Dunno, did you check with Analog CAses?

audio line in? ;) This is a midi controller to send midi data to your computer.

A lot of functions will probably be the same haven’t tried in FL yet though.

Yes it’s class compliant, just hook it up via usb. Its midi and power over usb.

Hi, I have no idea what could be wrong in your case. Never used it with Pro Tools. But why would you need to make changes? This should appear by default as a midi instrument if you hook up it via USB (midi over usb) to the computer.

have you activated midi clock sync in the DAW? So you are sending the clock from DAW to the LX Mini over midi?

Hey, Impact LX is plastic chassi. But like I mentioned I feel the keybed is quite good, felt even better than some big size midi keyboards. Knobs are not comparable to my huge synths. But it’s definitely possible to create quick music sketches and adjust parameters in thr plugins. I feel the integration is much better for Bitwig than it was controlling Logic Pro. It isn’t nearly as convenient. Bitwig is overall more streamlined for control and usability. Like I mentioned I did use P6 and T4 preciously and Nektar always win when it comes to controlling Bitwig Studio. Hope that helps. ☕️
