Matt, I don't think you get enough credit for giving us high quality videos 5-6 days a week. Even though some of this stuff is rather basic or mundane, it doesn't mean it is any less involved and time consuming when filming and editing it all in less than 24 hours.

I yet come back after all these years, to appreciate this build- it's tasteful and insightful for my ESS G1+ stripper E92 M3. Take us back to this content, everything is noisy clout on YT these days.

You can straighten out the wheel without needing alignment tools. You will be shortening one side tie and lengthening the other. As long as you turn them the same amount on each side you can center the wheel without messing up any alignment specs. Judging by other vehicles I have done this on you probably won't need but a turn or so.

Glad you are ditching the aftermarket trunk on the 1M. Love the style but the panel gap looks gaping.

Subtle and clean. I’m a huge fan for Alcantara and it adds contrast to the interior. Maybe match the color of the center stripe on the M Performance wheel with the Brembo BBK you will be installing. Looking forward to more videos 👍

The airbag thing absolutely freaks me out, also starting it for the first time after connecting the battery makes my palms sweat as well. I just duck out of the way when doing so !

After dropping a wrench onto the battery terminal and it becoming welded to the chassis, I'm "goofy" too when it comes to reconnecting the battery from now on lol

Get a set of Pedal Haus pedals. They look 100x better than Dinan and they're cheaper. You could even get a custom engraved OG dead pedal.

I ended up getting the F10 shift knob + boot combo for my E90 M3, the one you have is ZCP knob. same weighted knob, only difference is with ZCP you only get the knob (and use your oem e92 leather boot) vs. when you buy the F10 shift knob + boot, you get the bit softer novillo leather boot that's connected to the knob. you have to cut the leather at the bottom (because it comes with leather glued to the F10 M5 shift boot frame/mount, you have to cut it and glue it to the E9x M3 plastic mount. took a stupid 2~3 days to properly cut, glue to the mount, dry it well before installing, such a time wasting DIY I agree, but end product looks awesome. I got this because it just looked cleaner than putting a separate knob on top of an old leather boot. actually liking the full alacantara IND shift + boot, you should keep it that way! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9eGf8-oysqalmQ.html I also got V2 electronic steering wheel for 6MT, loving it! and the alacantara wear has been pretty good, with that Sonax alacantara care spray it look brand new after 6+ months

I also had to pay 1.300€ (~1.500$) for alcantara interior trim for my F30. But I have to say that I bought it locally from BMW and „normal“ trim options just costed 100€ less, so I thought „screw it“. I just wanted to get rid of the ugly red trim pieces. (The installation made me cry, not the money btw.)

You should swap to the white stitching of the oem performance shift and parking brake boots since you have the performance seats.

That Alcántara shift knob/boot look pretty good but maybe you could find a same finish Alcántara brake handle to tie it together so no mixed materials. Otherwise go with leather shift knob so both are lthr/alc combo’d...?

After all theses years I didn't knew the iDrive unit could be opted out! PersonallyI think it looks far better without that old CCC (that I have). Don't know how I could've missed this channel but i'm definitely a subscriber now! :)

Alcantara looks good. I would keep the orange trunk on the M1. It looks close enough to the stock and has the nice spoiler.

Maybe find someone to make you the same steering wheel with leather instead of alcantara and the blue line to matching more to car's color (well, that color difference bothering me a lot) and keep the old handbrake and sifter covers? You should get pro tools from bimmergeeks it’s is very inexpensive and you can code stuff and you can clear any faults to include airbag faults on e9x’s and maybe your 1m

I like the interior mods, you should keep it how it is now! Alcantara definitely gives a more sporty look (and grip). Just get some nice pedals and alcantara e brake handle and your interior will look done!

Before you go cutting up the Alcantera shift kit you have, there are places on eBay that do custom gathers as I think you may still like the feel of the F10 shifter and the leather wears much better than Alcantera and you probably use the shit knob the most in a manual car 👍 Jp

Matt I have a E92 6speed M3 space grey with a sunroof. Picked it up with 90kkk miles and just this past weekend I’ve hit 125kkk miles. I’ve owned it for 2 and a half years now. I drive a lot I know haha but I’m considering getting rid of it and getting an f80 M3 but now I’ve been looking into getting another e92 M3 with less miles with the DCT. What do you think? Just wanna get an opinion from you since you’ve had both cars. 🙏🏼

Removed the CDV yet (clutch delay valve)? If you're looking for a better clutch feel on a manual BMW that's the place to start.

I dig the Alcantara but I’m not a fan of the flat bottom wheel on a M car. I have a flat bottom on my S3 it looks cool but the feel of the flat area annoys me during aggressive driving and autoX. My M4 Factory wheels I perfect in my option however I wouldn’t mind that M performance wheel with the shift lights and water temp gauge.

I change my m button on steering wheel an I got a airbag error code. I think it will reset. Did you get any error codes after install?

Don't take out the clutch pedal springs. ( Please do not throw away the springs as you will be needing them with the ultimate clutch pedal ) The clutch pedal's joint area will crack!!! (The springs are supporting the structure rigidity) You need to get the ultimate clutch pedal kit. It is made out of metal and will give you the solid shifting feel. ( The proper way )
