The ViscoSoft memory foam mattress topper is 3” thick. It features a removable cover that is made of a bamboo/rayon blend. There are straps on all four corners, designed to secure the topper to your mattress. The 3” of memory foam is ventilated and infused with a cooling gel. This is meant to keep the topper from trapping too much heat.
If you want a mattress topper for back sleeping, the ViscoSoft could work for you. A firm mattress might not be letting your hips sink in the right amount. The ViscoSoft will soften your mattress, allowing your hips to sink in. At the same time, the memory foam will conform to the curves of your body. I own this topper and it's very soft, squishy with a slight gelly feel to it. I've enjoyed it a great deal. The straps are too close to the corners, though, so it doesn't hold it on as well as it could. And the anti-slip meshy stuff on the bottom of it aren't enough to keep it from slipping off to the side due to my weight and mobility issues. I have to get off the bed at the same spot every time. But not everyone has these issues, of course. I've had mine for a year or so now and I love the feel of it. NOTE: I'm menopausal and while the topper sleeps cool normally, it can't cool down fast enough during a hot flash.

Using the toppers on RV beds. The first one worked wonderfully to soften up the rock hard mattress. The increased comfort level was amazing. Liked the topper so much, I purchased two more. I highly recommend the product!

have a Very bad back from a fall in a hotel 2 1/2 years ago in naples Fl and was told I need Disk replacement or fusion I used to sleep on my back so I bought the best firm mattress I could find I spend stupid money but for some reason I am now sleeping on my side is there any MattressTopper That I could buy to relieve my shoulder pain but keep my back straight ? I got this about three weeks ago and it's just okay. Was expecting much more. I have fibromyalgia and am unable to buy an entire bed at the moment. I am changing my sheets now and notice that there is a bit of an indentation where I sleep -and it's been 11 hours since I got up. Returning it seems like such a hassle and I don't know if anything else would be better.

Will the gel infusion cause the ViscoSoft topper to be cooler than a non gel memory foam topper, in the winter? I live in an old farm house in NH and bedrooms are very cool to cold in the winter, making warmth a lot more appealing. However gel would be an excellent choice for the summer months. To gel or not to gel, this is my question.

The reason I am looking for a topper is we bought the Avocado Green mattress with the plush pillow top attached. It is too firm for us. We are135lbs and 155lbs, and both side sleepers. We are needing pressure relief in both hip and shoulder area. I have tried adding Avocado’s wool topper and it did nothing for pressure relief. I’m thinking about adding a memory foam topper but I don’t like to have that feeling of slow quicksand.

I got a dream Cloud matress.flagship model 2020. I have sciatica and lower back pain and notice my back and hips sink in. So I'm trying to find the right topper. The mattress is a hybrid 14 inch, 6 of ten in firmness. . With a pillow top which might not be good for my back to start. Im primarily a side sleeper and some back sleeper. I have never rd had a slow bounce back foam matress or a strictly foam matress. I see on your Visco soft mattress video th lower back and hips hold your natural contour. If you have anything that helps yo add here I would thoroughly appreciate it. Thanks Cm

I’ve had this topper for 3 months and have come to the conclusion that it’s too soft for me. I’m a side sleeper and also have scoliosis and this topper doesn’t support my back and spine. Not complaining, just want others to know :)

Got a new memory foam mattress Sept. of 2020, gave us too long to adjust to it (you don’t by the way, it’s still too firm) so now we’ve tried several toppers to try to be happier with our new mattress. This is our last attempt so wish us luck! Just unwrapped the viscosoft 4in topper. It smells AWFUL but I’m pretty sensitive to smells. We’ve got ceiling fans running and windows open so we’ll give it a day or two to off-gas. Fingers crossed!

Any recommendations comparing this to the tempur topper? I'm a side sleeper and get hip pain when I sleep so relief there is the main thing I'm looking for. Slightly leaning towards this because it seems to have better cooling features and it is cheaper, but tempur is appealing because it seems to be the highest quality and most likely to last a long time.

Hello! Yes, you're thinking correctly. The Tempur Topper is definitely more durable and should last for a longer amount of time. It won't be quite as cool though. Also, in terms of pressure relief, the Tempur Topper should be better as well.

I'm in a quandary. My boyfriend and I used to have an old mattress. We bought a 4 in Serta topper and it revived our sleep. We bought a new mattress, no topper.. and it's quite firm in comparison. My boyfriend, who has terrible back pain as it is, sleeps horrible on it. I, on the other hand, sleep great. We decided to try the 4 in on the new mattress and he scored his sleep from a 4 on the mattress alone to an 8 with topper. Me, while I slept, I wasnt as comfortable now with the topper and this new bed. I'd say I went from an 8 to a 6. So what do we do? We are both heavier. He has the need for a topper due to pain. Side sleepers too. I'm leaning toward a 3 in viscosoft but there are so many out there!

Hey Mike! It's tough to find a topper that is good for both stomach and side. Stomach sleepers usually need something firmer and side sleepers need something softer. That being said, take a look at the Lucid 5-zone topper and the Saatva graphite memory foam topper.

I want a high density memory foam. I have narrowed it down to this one and a TempurPedic. I just don’t know? My mattress is firm and I need it to be softer. I have a bad back, knee and shoulder. I like that it is not too hot. However I don’t know about the ease of moving around

Yes, it will be more difficult to move around at night. This is some very thick memory foam that isn't very responsive. The Layla might also work for you because it sleeps cool and isn't quick so thick.

I really liked the bamboo cover material since its cool to the touch, machine washable removable cover is a plus.Its also a good idea to try this topper to see if you do like memory foam mattress

Ok so I'm a side sleeper only, I also have a sleep number bed that I keep on 35 because I need soft as I have a really bad back, I've had a regular topper on my bed for many years it's not memory foam or feather, with that being said I'm looking to replace it as it's so broke down that even with my bed on 35 it's hurting my hip, and I sleep hot so also need one that keeps me cool, what do you recommend? I wouldn't say one is better than the other. However, the ViscoSoft should be better for hot sleepers. Both should be about equal in terms of pressure relief. They should both soften your mattress about the same amount.

I'm a light (130 lbs) side and back sleeper. The medium firm saatva bed I have is too firm and the plush avocado mattress topper still gives me hip pain when I sleep on my side. I figure a softer topper would help. I am concerned with thick memory foam toppers because I get back pain on some memory foam mattresses. Do you think this would work for me or do you have another suggestion?

Hello! I think the ViscoSoft might be too thick for you as a back sleeper. I would shoot for something with a thinner design. Being a side and back sleeper, the Layla should be a good option.

I have an older, firm mattress but need a softer, memory foam bed, so I was thinking a topper would be a good investment while I research mattresses. This could be a good match as I am a back/side sleeper and prefer a cooler bed. I like that there's straps to hold the topper in place and a washable cover. 48hrs to expand is doable.

I had the Recci, but ended up returning it. Mine was the two inch, and it was a firmer feel than my Viscosoft. The Recci wasn't bad, but the Viscosoft is WAY more comfortable and better quality. But keep in the mind, the Visco has a much plusher feel than the Recci.

If they sleep on their side, it could help with pressure relief. However, it will make it more difficult for them to get in and out of bed.

I have been sleeping on my mattress for 25 years and thinking about putting a topper on top of my current mattress. There are so many brands out there and really hard to make the choice; I am a side and hot sleeper, the brands that I have been reviewing were My Pillow, Sleep Innovation and ViscoSoft etc.

I liked this as a personal hot sleeper and side sleeper. However, it does contain memory foam so it isn't going to sleep quite as cool as something with latex. I'm not a huge fan of My Pillow's products, and I have yet to try out the Sleep Innovation

I am a side sleeper and got stuck with an extra firm mattress because, stupid me, trusted a salesman who knew nothing about mattresses (learn from my mistake make sure YOU know what mattress is good, don't trust a sales guy). I paid way to much for it to buy another, and I'd have no place to put this. I did something fun, and got a purple pet bed and that helped for a few years, but it was never meant for this, and its started to not work well. I am around 350lbs and a side sleeper. This mattress, when I took the 'topper' i was using off put my back in such pain I have barely been able to move all day and tried to sleep for about an hour before I had to get up the pain was to bad. I don't know if I want to just bite the bullet and try a new mattress and try and figure it out, or for under $200 give something like a topper a try and see what happens. I really can't afford another mattress though. Thanks for your help and your videos!!

Hello! So, I have not tried their Pillow top topper. However, I do think this ViscoSoft topper could be a good fit for your situation. It definitely offers fantastic pressure relief and will soften up that firm mattress. I think you have the right idea trying a topper first before trying to get another mattress!

@@UOFLcards09 the reviews I read on amazon say that none of these toppers have a very long lasting life span. They tend to loose their firmness after a bit, so I am just getting a new mattress. I just need something I wont' have to worry about any more. (Bear Mattress Hybrid is what I am getting)

As a mostly side and back sleeper I am looking for something to help with hip and shoulder pain. We currently have a natural latex mattress that is extremely firm and have an older 3' green tea foam topper that seems to be out of squish. Would this be a good topper? I do like the memory foam feel.

Responsive foam is something you would find in a topper like the Tuft and Needle. A memory foam alternative that doesn't move quite so slowly.

Because I looked for responsive foam mattress topper on Google and didn't really find anything with that name. I like the feel of gel-infused memory foam, but I'm 235 lb, side sleeper, disabled with chronic severe pain from fibromyalgia, bursitis in both hips, arthritis, spinal stenosis, etc etc, so I have mobility issues. And when I sleep, as time goes by my pain gets incredibly severe even if I wasn't in pain when I went to bed. It's been this way for many years and I've been in search of anything that could help ... that I could afford on my SSI disability income. The two things that are cons for me with the 3 in ViscoSoft is the fact that the sinking makes it more difficult to roll from side to side, which can be incredibly painful when I'm hurting and have to try to lift my hips up to turn over, and that it cannot Wick away my heat fast enough when I get hot flashes from menopause. The second thing I'm not sure can be fixed. But for the first thing, I was hoping I could find a good alternative for my queen size bed that I can get for under $200. The viscosoft is very comfortable for me and not too firm I think. I'm wondering if I should go with another viscosoft. But I was also looking at the Sleep Innovations 4-inch dual-layer mattress topper which has very good reviews on Amazon but I didn't see that you reviewed that one. What do you think?

@@Anjalena So, responsive foam isn't really a search term. We use it to talk about alternatives to memory foam that move more quickly. The Tuft and Needle is an example, and it is under $200 for a Queen-size. It is only 2" thick, however, and doesn't feature the pressure relief of the ViscoSoft. For pressure relief, the ViscoSoft is really one of my favorites, but I totally understand that it is difficult to move around on it. There is also the Saatva graphite mattress topper which has two layers and makes it easier to switch positions. It is $275 for a Queen-size, however. Also, did you say you mostly sleep on your back and side?

I was not a believer of a mattress topper till I slept on one. High density memory foam thats gel infused and good ventilation were some of the pros.I'm a stomach sleeper and so this mattress topper would not be ideal for me.

Yes, it might not be the best match for you as a stomach sleeper. I would take a look at the Saatva memory foam mattress topper.
