@ericg71833 жыл бұрын
Hey, Matt! This video in particular caught my eye, because I just put in a reservation for the new Ford Maverick. Of course I'll be going with the optional 4000lb towing option, so I will need something light enough to also be able to haul what I need while in camp. Ford isn't the only one bringing back (finally) a compact truck for 2022. I expect the RV industry to respond by bringing out even more lightweight RVs in the next several months. Y'all do a great job on these video reviews, and I'm looking forward to see what comes out for the compact truck arena.

2 Things that are deal breakers - wet baths and east west beds.
@josephtripoli50693 жыл бұрын
Agreed... at least regarding the wet baths They are a thing of the past and no longer a relevant option... especially in anything over 3,000 lbs.
@mischiefroadtripadventures3 жыл бұрын
The only concern I have is a big one - you say under 3,500 pounds but you rarely mention that it’s a DRY WEIGHT. There are a lot of vehicles that have a towing limit of 3,500 pounds. That also of course is reduced further by cargo and passengers. You should be highlighting GROSS WEIGHT. For all the new people getting into RVing, they really need to know the difference. 3,500 dry weight is a meaningless number unless you drive a truck or large SUV.
@josephtripoli50693 жыл бұрын
Disagree... Dry weight is the minimum where we all start out and our vehicles must comply with... Gross weight is a maximum amount that we may or may not choose to ultimately build up to. But I do get your point, and a point well-taken...

Love the floor plan of that Jayco SLS, and the fact that it's fibreglass. I would love to have that if it was a dual. I almost spit out my coffee at the price over $30k for a teardrop camper.

The last one, which he rated the best, I like how it has a second door by the lower bunk. It can be a tight squeeze but it has an advantage: you can toss stuff in at the last minute and jump into the driver's seat if it's raining very hard outside. Also, it makes it easy for parents to get kids or the family dog/cat inside if mom or dad is not good at parking the trailer and they can't open the entry door!
@OldenfeldPlayers3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for doing the top 5 smaller travel trailers. I think all models have certain advantages over others. The ones that are clearly better made, cost more, but that's as it should be. For me, I liked the #5 as my top choice, for price point, and layout. I've had larger campers, but this Primetime Avenger LT packs a lot into a "couples" camper. Great reviews!
