Matty Cranmer is always building the weirdest bikes and his ideas for different BMX tricks are usually impossible to every rider except for one other rider named Tate Roskelley. This time Matty designed and built a bike that will lose it's rear wheel on purpose then grind across a rail without a wheel and somehow lock itself onto another wheel to ride away with it, but it doesn't end there he designed the bike to hold onto the lose wheel long enough to do an air trick while riding away from the rail! Will it work? I guess you will just have to watch and find out!

I really hope Tate Roskelley sees this and takes up the challenge! Maybe even just come over there to do it, would be awesome to have him in one of your videos. Good luck on the practice and the engineering!

This is perfect! I was thinking about asking Matt about doing a trick that I had never seen ANYBODY do on a bike. Matt, Would you consider attempting to do a Hand Plant with your bike like skaters used to do back in the 80s, & 90s? Like back in the days of Tony Hawk. I'd attach a photo, but you can't in BooTube's comments section. Basically you would ride up a ramp, or bowl then plant your hand while the momentum of you, and your bike go upward just enough that you would be Upside down with your bike above you. I think the most difficult part would be trying to get back onto your bike, and riding back down the ramp/bowl.

Few things in bmx are more terrifying than sudden uncontrolled shots to the spine. Beast for even getting past the 1st attempt. That gave me anxiety.

I almost hope Tate gives this a try but I’m still a little bit more hoping for a V2 design that actually lets Matty complete the whole trick with a barspin! Definitely rooting for you to get back into it! (Even riding away with what you had was pretty wild though!)

I feel like it would be easier on down rail, so you could be more upwards position on grind and maybe not loop out that easily.

You should have the rail level so you aren't as likely to loop out, that is just tipping you even further back. Raise both sides of the rail.

Suggestion : Weld those top bars to the new pieces you added and round off all those edges on that metal. You don't wanna get jabbed by that.

U got this matty. Just weld a half circle/curved tubing onto the frame where rail hits frame. Keeping frame locked in and guided straight along rail?

Take some sheet metal and weld a shield on both sides of the wheel so that the drop outs can't go into the spokes.

Ouch!! I was So Worried that Matt was seriously going to get hurt. I'm glad he's OK. The only ideas I could think of in the 2 minutes after watching this is maybe using a longer frame, and/or lower handlebars. It looked like there was too much of your weight shifting backwards due to the lack of a tire, and the short frame. I do think lower handlebars might help. Who knows? Nobody has ever done that trick, so we may never know. I know that people say "Never Say Never", but They've Never attempted that trick. 😉
