fairy tail was the first anime i watched, so i’m a little biased as it holds a very special place in my heart. it’s no masterpiece but it’s definitely overhated. it’s just a fun anime that sucks you in with its lovable cast of characters and interesting worldbuilding.

It's said the series is the embodiment of "The Power of Friendship" because the magic system is powered by their emotions so they win a bunch of the fights by thinking of their friends, screaming really hard and suddenly they are stronger. It fells like an ass-pull sometimes but it is still hype as hell and is basically what they did in Dragon Ball yet people keep shitting on it. But it has something that keeps pulling me back to it. The series is like a happy place you can come back and everything is going to be (mostly) fine. It also has one of the best OSTs I have ever heard in any anime.

It's hard to imagine that not everyone has seen this amazing show because my brother and I watched this SO MUCH when we were younger. I'm gonna pull up the show again because holy crap this brought back amazing memories!! One of the few "power of friendship" shows I can watch, it's just so good.

Fairy Tail is good but the upcoming canon sequel 100 Years Quest anime is fire Natsu is the MC Hiro confirmed it in so many afterwords even in the final arc *Natsu & his friends* but a lot of people do not like him and they exclude him from his The Main Character status Lucy´s character is the narrator from Chapter 2/Ep2 & the outsider Hiro said he wants the series to be a lot easier to follow from her Point of View She´s the 2nd MC according to Hiro

Fairy Tail does have filler arcs and episodes, but I don’t recommend skipping them if you ever decide to watch it because a lot of the fillers actually have canon in them, so by skipping the filler you might not understand something in a different episode. Also, this anime does quite a lot of foreshadowing, some of it is noticed during that arc and then some of it won’t be realized until an arc or more later. Lastly, idk if everybody likes OP 15, but all I know is that some of my favorites are: (S.O.W.) Sense of Wondering, Rock City Boy, & Down By Law

I watch FT openings at the same time while watching each arc so I really feel and relate to the scene and beat of each openings and it makes me like it even more. So I don't know how people who first watch it will feel about ft openings without any context but majority of youtube reactors that watch FT openings like it too so I guess FT have also one of the anime with good openings. But I think they will appreciate it more if they watch it cause they will understand why some openings are lively and some or slow and not so hype. There's one reactor that think like openings should always upbeat and fun and hate it if it didn't. I understand that cause op are more likely upbeat and endings are more slow and sad but sometimes they match the theme of the arc so its not required that op are always a banger and loud. BTW FT is one of my Fave anime along with To aru series. I watch hundreds of anime start it when I was still a kid but FT have something that I want to watch it again and again its not always about good animation or heavy plot to be a good anime I'm more into character dev and anime that is fun to rewatch again and again.

Fairy tail isn't for everyone it has some bad sides and some good side its by no means perfect but i personally love it fights are good animation is good if it's based on the time it's made osts great story telling is good characters/character designs also great also in moments it hits you in emotion only significant bad side would be the friendship stuff but considering pretty much every single big anime has this it's not so bad dragon ball naruto bleach one piece etc also main villains are just awesome i have never seen villains like that in any other anime the mc or mcs also great in my biased opinion its like 9-10/10 in my unbiased opinion its a solid 7

everyone sleeps on fairy tail. and its sad as its one of the best shounen anime to exist. the people that keep claiming that its a power of friendship anime are half right. it is but nearly every fight is won without it. they get help but its more never directly winning. like lucy making fire so natsu can refill his magic reserves to beat his enemy and the only reason he was losing is due to beating 2 of the enemies top mages before fighting the strongest mage and he was even with him most of the fight. but yea he needed fire and lucy got him some hence the external help i mentioned. its either that a group fight against someone powerful or just overpowering their enemy. only a few times the win is bs. only in the final season its like 2 fights its bs. but also since this information is at the final season it makes people think it is a power of friendship anime and i say they are half right due to how the power system works. magic power is directly tied to ones emotions and fairy tail treats everyone like family and loves each other to the point they will fight the entire world for each other. and love is the strongest emotion hence why they are the strongest guild.

Ngl I watched FT cuz of the openings especially the op 15. It's still my fav tho behind the last Opening, op 26. I think I have a special place for the last opening of every anime I watch lol. Like Naruto, FT, code geass, katekyo hitman, gintama, FMAB and others maybe.

The dude that looks like Shanks is actually pretty OP. Just for you see how powerful he is, when he walks, he needs to have a clear path in front of him, otherwise he will just break down any obtable in his way as he has a lot of difficulty in holding back his power. Even Natsu can be intimidated by him.

The best openings for me are Masayume Chasing, Snow Fairy, Rock City Boy and the one used in Fairy Tail Zero.

It's not as "power of friendship" as people think. Last time I rewatched through episode 1 to 105 I think and it barely had 3 "power of friendship" moments. Of course there's more after that since there like 200+ episodes after and it gets worse overall, just like the fan service which used to be light at first.

Idk how far you've gotten into the series thus far or if anyone has answered the filler question, but the answer is yesn't. the fillers that are there never feel like fillers. it's more like an insight of how the guild operates when the big threats (the main arcs) aren't going on. plus they allow for deeper character development that the grander arcs don't have time to cuz it's fight time, not "get to know me" time.

Fairytail is not the best anime out there but it is my favorite one it has all the emotions you need it will automatically bring you back to watching it

You should watch the anime. Fairy tail is one of my favorite anime. It has very good arcs. It gets hated on but it's a very good anime.

If I remember correctly, there were around 50 episodes of filler in FT of 328 total episodes.

If you watch fairy tail dont diss on it the beginning is a little mid but the final season and the spin off flips the scenario over also fairy tail is pretty much just black cover

There are actually only like 2 fights where they use the power of friendship 1.the dragon slayers vs acnologia 2. Erza vs azuma because power of friendship literally means that the protagonists get a power or a power up from their friends or friend and one shot the antagonist that only happened those 2 time

Happy not lucky. Also one should be aware that the creator of fairy tale has made other works which he references such as rave master. That is why in one opening you can see the rubber butt gang which was somewhat relevant villains in that story.

FT as a whole is a mixed bag for me. The build up for fights are cool but it doesn't stick the landing sometimes. But the songs are good tho

I hate that Never End Tale is so sped up in this version. Its one of my favorites but people keep using this video for reactions and dont get the actual song.

For me, Fairytail OPs are hit or miss. No in between. It's just me though. And this spoils the fun, but this anime really isn't that much dark. (Though few arcs really just hits the feels). And deaths doesn't really occur much (yes, there are "Deaths" here). So in conclusion, this could be action packed. But it's lighter than the likes of (sorry for the comparison) Demon Slayer which just shows deaths after deaths sometimes.

Honestly FT has some great openers, some meh ones, but the OSTs are where the real hype is. Altogether the opening are meh, but the OST is the best I've ever heard in any show, movie, game, ANYTHING, except maybe LOTR, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Fairy Tail is interesting because it doesn't have a direct main character. The closest is Lucy but I'd classify her as more of a perspective character. Even though you see Natsu, Lucy, Gray and Erza the most, the story is about the whole guild and instead of the main four, you often see other guild members fight and defeat important antagonists.

Its a decent show but gets repetitive in the end. But give it a try if you don't mind it
