That's what I saw normally. Ground Power/ APU, then if ignition warm-up, then standby then ignition. RPM increase slowly from 15-45-85. Here i think this one needs ONLY. A boot up like cars

I suspect they are friends with people in the area who own parts of the land in the area. He said in a later video that someone owns a bunch of land around town and they're fine with him landing on their fields. Otherwise I don't think in his or any US state you can just land a helicopter that isn't going through an emergency on private property.

It's an R22, secondhand those cost the same as a new Camry. And I think he may still live at home, which means he's been able to save for it for years and pay the driving lessons with salary. He's not flying an Augusta here.
