In this video, we will be going over a very likely sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and what we can expect from it!
The content on this channel is original, entirely mine, and instructional. Videos contain my own personal high-quality gameplay, a significant amount of edits, and my own creative input in order to conform to the rules set out in the KZfaq Partner Program's guidelines. Hopefully Super Mario Bros 2 can be the highest grossing movie of all time! Super Mario Bros movie is now the 3rd highest grossing film of all time which is below Frozen 2 and The Lion King remake.

Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, and Rosalina could easily fit into one storyline together. Luigi gets separated from his brother and winds up in Sarasaland, where he meets Princess Daisy and instantly falls in love. Daisy, similar to Princess Peach, helps Luigi hone his platforming skills. Just then, an invader from outer space seizes control of Sarasaland, Tatanga and his alien army attempt to kidnap Princess Daisy and make her his queen! Luigi helps Daisy break out, which strengthens their bond. Daisy gives Luigi a big hug out of gratitude (before commenting she got caught up in the heat of the moment), before the two set out to find Mario. Meanwhile in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and Peach are searching for Luigi. (Perhaps they go back to New York and meet Yoshi as well) Suddenly, Rosalina appears and warns them of an alien invasion that has taken over a nearby kingdom. She brings them to the Comet Observatory (where they have a short reunion with Lumalee?), which is overlooking Sarasaland. Mario realizes his brother is there and rushes to find him. Then we learn that Wario is the mastermind behind Tatanga's invasion, as he too, wants to conquer the world. Waluigi is his partner-in-crime, but he's only in it for the hopes of gaining Daisy's affection...

Nice idea! I have commented a similar idea, but it may be more ambitious than you think (with a crossover in mind). Basically speaking, what if Tatanga not only invades the earth, but also Planet Popstar as well in the film's exibhition (in a similar way to how Bowser invaded the Ice Kingdom)? Imagine if Kirby were to accidentally make his way through an underwater warp pipe while trying to escape from Tatanga's airships. Princess Peach would then eventually find him in the forest, and she and Daisy would make a comittment to the pink puffball, protecting him at all costs. Meanwhile, later on, Tatanga would make an arms deal with King Wart with the help of his adviser, Birdo, only to stab the fat frog in the back to increase his own power, destroying his palace into smithereens. Together, Mario and his friends would have to save the universe from Tatanga's destruction.

I thin maybe a good villain for this movie could be Kamek because it makes sense that yo shin would be introduced the same time Kamek would have the spotlight. Kamek masterminds a brilliant plan to invade Yoshi’s island with the help of Wario and Waluigi in a action packed movie with many battles. The Yoshi council will request the help of Mario, Luigi and Peach who are currently living in Brooklyn. When Thea make their way they notice a little green dinosaur running around in the sewers they take him with them on their journey figuring he is a Yoshi. As they arrive they meet Daisy who has been living on Yoshi island after her and Peach got separated. Now, Peach and Daisy do not want to fight Kamek out of fear of losing each other again. Luigi ( who at this point has fallen in love with Daisy ) agrees with Daisy out of sheer love ❤. Mario and Yoshi decide to stay and fight for Yoshi island while Daisy, Peach and Luigi go back to the Mushroom kingdom. Kamek sends all of Bowsers army to take the island he has wanted for so long. At the Mushroom kingdom Luigi notices The Yoshi’s are losing the battle. Daisy tells him to stay but Luigi feels bad about abandoning his brother. After big fight with Daisy Peach, Luigi’s and the Mushroom kingdom army with Captain Toad they race to Yoshi’s Island they get there and Mario is overjoyed to see him in the middle of the battle turnips start flying in the air. IT’S DAISY! She helps them defeat Kamek for the win.

If they do come out with a second movie than I believe kamek will be the main villain for two reasons. 1 and most obvious, Yoshi was in the end of the Mario movie suggesting that he will be In the next one, 2 is needs a bit more explanation, I noticed that kamek seemed very bloodthirsty in the beginning when bowser melted the penguin’s home with the fire reflecting off his glasses. like in Yoshi’s island, he will probably be the main villain and maybe try and free bowser.

4:02 In Nintendo lore apparently Luigi post to pair with peach and daisy post to be paired with Mario due to the game Super Mario Land where we see a heart between princess daisy and Mario. and this game takes place sometime after some of the early Mario games from what i remember. so we could either have Mario with peach and daisy with Luigi or have the opposite like in the older Mario games.

I think that The Super Mario Bros Movie 2 plot could be mix with Super Mario Galaxy Super Mario World and Super Mario Odyssey because of Lumalee (which this characters might tease Rosalina) Yoshi and Cappy and Tiara (because of Super Mario Odyssey Wedding Suit). And if Nintendo doesn't want any Mario villains to be the main villain in the sequel but maybe for the next movie then it could be Bowser again but with Wario Waluigi Bowser Jr and Koopalinas to built up his own Sinister Six. And I think Luigi should find Yoshi in the sequel because in the Super Mario World episode "Mama Luigi" Luigi find a Yoshi egg and it think he is his mama. And soon Mario might had some help from Yoshi and Cappy to protect the kingdom. And the post credit scene it could tease for The Super Mario Bros Movie 3 or a Luigi Mansion spinoff (Because Charile Day like to play Luigi as he want him to start on his own movie) or a Donkey Kong spinoff (since Nintendo was trying to confirm the movie because Seth Rogan loves playing Donkey Kong)

I feel like Bowser jr. won't make an appearance. Bowser jr's. mother hasn't been stated so it would be a problem for the writers to make him a mother, knowing that Bowser only loves Peach and that Bowser jr. is Bowser's biological son.

They'll probably introduce the Koopa Queen in the sequel. In the movie Bowser is single. In the games he's likely a widower. Yet if the introduce the Koopa Queen as the main villain they'll probably remake Super Princess Peach and make a sequel to Super Princess Peach introducing the Koopa Queen as the one seeking Perry.

There were so many hints to the games in the movie it’s hard to tell who will show up. Wario and Waluigi were given no hints in the movie and bringing them into the second movie would build a interesting story. ⁠@@AlicesfunworldI see the complaint that they would be an over cast, but still, just give two out of the seven a major role, and the others get small cameos. For example make Ludwig a side-antagonist who helps out Kamek, and Roy has a small cameo as a drill sergeant for the new army. Now that I mention a new army, Boom-Boom would be a fun cameo too, just give him a small battle scene joking how easy he is to the majority of the fanbase. Edit: Typos

I agreed with pretty much everything you said in this. The only sticky point was the love interest section. I’m a big fan of the Game Theory channel, and in two of the episodes for a Mario series, pertaining to Rosalina’s identity, it was found that Rosalina is likely Peach’s daughter from a previous cycle of the galaxy that uses light speed travel to check on her home world every one hundred years. It was also speculated that while it would be possible for Mario to be the father, given Rosalina’s phenotypes, she’s a little more likely to be LUIGI’S daughter, implying that Luigi and Peach would be the actual power couple in the Mushroom Kingdom. Of course, that could be “just a theory,… a game theory”, and Luigi and Daisy would be a slightly more sensible coupling for the simplicity of the story, but it’s still worth contemplating. I’m not against the fan claimed relationship between Luigi and Daisy, but I am a bit more of a fan of Luigi x Peach, even if I expect Daisy to be his love interest in the movie. So, all in all, I think it’s around a 50/50 possibility.

Theory: Wario and Waluigi were the kids who were bullying Luigi in the flash back, so they have a history with Mario. Then they hear about the success of Mario and Luigi and get jealous. This is their drive and beef against Mario and Luigi. But they find a way to save Bowser from his jar. That way Bowser can help Wario and Waluigi exact there revenge.

I think it is very likely that the next movie plays out a lot like Super Mario Galaxy. I can imagine a successful raid on peach's castle preformed by bowser junior and the koopalings setting Bowser free and setting the main plot of galactic domination in motion. Since Mario and Luigi were separate for most of the film, I can absolutely see them being together for the journey, with both of them being cast out into space.

Yeah, but this is why we need like backstory to everybody’s stories like I said, in my last comment because we don’t even know how princess peach even got there because I even heard from HANNAH that when she was reading comments, she suspected that because a lot of people were saying that she’s Rosalina‘s kid and I was even hearing a lot about that in the movie theater when we went to the movie theater I think I went with my sister and my sister didn’t even know or we just haven’t watched the movie with her again the first one but this is also why I think they should take some of my ideas and make Bowser Junior like the main villain just for fun though and Wario and Waluigi

Well, I’m still hoping they’ll take some of my ideas like a Mario paper idea where he’s like 2D but he hast to go through Books because they’re like special books or like they have to include Winney the Pooh and tigger tooo just because I think it would be really cool like maybe he found like some mysterious books but he puts those ones on the shelf and then next time he reads those ones but he pretty much just reads ones like that are different stories like the video games and that’s why he like jumps into the ones with the video games though or like the ones that are from the paper Mario video game and then everything becomes like paper reality kind of but I’m hoping that we get to see a lot of other characters other than Bowser, Junior, mostly to Daisy, because I know Daisy wasn’t in the first one either Wario and Waluigi as well with Biro and maybe a couple others like towed it as well and this is also why am hoping they will definitely add a backstory of what happened to princess peach and maybe then they would definitely add Rosalina as well because I know that she wasn’t even in this movie as well and this is also why am super excited if they start making a Nother Mario movie mostly just because of most of my ideas and not just the ones I’ve mentioned at the top there

Chris Pratt revealed that a second Mario movie will be coming soon but everything is on hold right now because of the ongoing Hollywood strikes once the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes are over, the writers will feel a lot more confident moving forward about what’s next for Mario’s adventure P.S. I would want an opening scene of Mario and Peach getting engaged in their marriage similar to the opening of Hotel Transylvania 2

I think the movie has to be longer than the first one because there’s so much more that Nintendo could put in it. I think it would be a good twist of Bowser Junior comes and saves his dad.I am also craving to see bowser’s airships. I think it was a mistake that Nintendo did not have it in the first movie.

I honestly think Rosalina could be in the Mario Movie 3 (if there is one). It could be a whole space adventure with the Comet Observatory & Lumalee. The reason why i think it's more of a 3rd movie thing is because I think the 2nd one will focus more on Yoshi, Daisy, & maybe Wario & Waluigi. Maybe will get a little more into Lumalee in the 2nd one.

Eventually they 1000% need to make Mario Sunshine into a movie. Like when Mario after 2 or 3 movies needs to go on vacation cause of stress/boredom of fighting to Isle Delfino and play out like the game. Another movie way down the line has to be Mario Superstar Saga.

If they had three of the Koopalings cast, then I would cast either Diedrich Bader or Patrick Warburton as Roy and Brad Garrett or Wayne Knight as Morton.
