I know this response is years late but I’ll compare them for you: Things Maui does better than Oahu: Nature, Waterfalls, Island Vibe, Cleanness, and Resorts Things Oahu does better than Maui: Much bluer water, beaches, Food, Modernness, Activities, and price In my opinion, if you are staying more than 7 nights (ideally 9+), you should split your visit between both islands. A good itinerary would be the following: Arrive in Oahu Chill at your resort on Waikiki ------------- Breakfast Visit North Shore/Waimea Bay (cool cliff jump for beginners) Dinner ------------- Breakfast Visit Lanikai Beach!! (Must do) Dinner ------------- Spend a day at Waikiki (go to the mall, take surf lessons, take a snorkel tour, go parasailing) ------------- Take an early morning stroll and get ready for your inner island flight to Maui Arrive in Maui Chill at your resort and eat dinner ------------- Breakfast Spend a day at Kaanapali beach, maybe jump off black rock (beginner cliff jumping spot) Westin Maui Luau ------------- Breakfast Take a boat tour to Molokini for the best snorkeling Have lunch at the grand Wailea Dinner ------------- Road to Hana full day (best waterfalls and scenery) Dinner ------------- Breakfast Do a helicopter tour if you’re up for it, Maui has amazing views. Go to Makena Beach (Big Beach) (MUST DO) ------------- Wake up early (3:00AM) and visit Haleakala for a famous sunrise and maybe take a bike tour down the volcano Check out of your resort at around 10:00 AM Leave Hawaii at noon

@@karle0822 maui has red sand beach big beach and little beach town of Paia road to hana you can bicycle up a volcano (I did not do) northern area of Maui.. rainbows every day food you buy on side of the road which I would recommend in lieu of any expensive dining sunday night bongo drums on little beach do dine at leona (spelling) for pot pies the best pot pies you will ever eat maui known for bananas so try bananas bread on roadside shops I've been to big island and Oahu too if you want info on that
