Well, Port louis stayed pretty much the same since the 90s

I went to Mauritius in February 1990 and June 2018, as an English man I have noticed the difference. They have extended the city of Port Louis by reclaiming the land in Port- Louis Harbour. On a vast amount of land where the sea used to be they have built hotels, casino, shops, banks, restaurants offices etc etc. Also there is a large number of sky scraper near Port - Louis harbour and they have redesigned the harbour for big cruises to station. They have also introduced a mini metro in Port - Louis and extended all over the island of Mauritius. The municipality of port- Louis had built a few markets for the Street vendors to sell their products. Nobody allow to sell on the street of Port Louis anymore, however some vendors will try but the police will stop them. At this moment they are building a huge modern complex including renovating the old bus station destination South. I take a huge amount of interest in every country I visit. To be honest I preferred Mauritius in the 90's, also the people mentality have changed they are not as friendly as they used to be. Lindsay Heeraman please take another trip to Mauritius when you get a chance.🇬🇧🇬🇧

@@Reed427 Yeah you're right, but what I was trying to say is that there still remain a lot of the old infrastructure which has not even been renovated since ages. For example, in Rose hill, apart from its tram station, the town has been looking the same since the 80s/90s. The buildings there are in an atrocious state
