We hired a driver for the whole day. When we arrived on Mauritius Island we went outside the port gate to meet our driver. We felt it was a little sketchy since all the other drivers were coming into the port gate area to pick up cruise passengers. It all worked out good. Our day was full and as a matter of fact we needed one more hour to see the best attraction.

Quite the experience at the Hindu temple. Spectacular views! Looks like lots of shopping opportunities, but how many suitcases do you have??

Hi Mary, we try to pack light. We have 1 carryon, 1 medium suitcase and 2 backpacks. I’m not a big fan of adding weight to our bags. The weight limit on bags has been a challenge for us when flying in Australia.Thank you for your comments and coming along on our journey around the world.
