Great job. Truly cinematic and spectacular. Being a Mauritian myself and living in Europe, this video made me feel prouder of my homeland and realize, how lucky I am, to be born and raised surrounded by true nature. Fantastic video. Did you have ropes and climbing equipment to climb to the top of Pieter Both? I’m going to Mauritius in 2 weeks time . Also, where exactly is the parking for Black River peak? Thank you

Hello my friend. Wow! I envy you that you are going to Mauritius soon. It is a wonderful place on earth. You will not be disappointed. Especially if you like hiking. Mauritius has so much to offer for hiking lovers. It's a dream. The hike to Pieter Both officially ends at the flag about 80 meters of elevation below the summit. Up to the flag, the trail is relatively well marked. However, to be on the safe side, you should equip yourself with an app like (Maps.me), which helped us a lot to stay on the trail. For the last stretch to the top of Pieter Both, there are ropes, chains and steel bolts to help with the climb. However, you need some muscle to pull yourself up at the very end, as the last rock overhangs a bit. Take good shoes, and if you are used to the mountains, you will have no problems. Otherwise, there are a number of guides to take you up. It's hard to miss the parking lot for Black River Peak. There is only one big road that goes through the park. You will pass a large tourist parking lot where there are a number of booths and a large parking lot. You're in the right place there. It's about a 1.5 hour walk from there. Have fun on the beautiful island.
