Mauro Stemberger was born in 1978 in Feltre, Italy, and got interested in bonsai at age 14. He learned from many well known bonsai persons in Europe, like Hotsumi Terakawa, Marc Noelanders, Horst Krekeler, Edoardo Rossi, Salvatore Liporace, Alfiero Suardi and Enrico Savini. Furthermore Mauro Stemberger has studied architecture and also works in this profession. As a demonstrator, passionate bonsai teacher and with his many award-winning bonsai trees Mauro Stemberger is well known and popular internationally.

Could't imagine that this incredible tree could be transformed to appear more magnificent and regal!!! Incredible vision. What is the age of this tree? Can the stress and strain of bonsai needing wiring, styling forever, I guess, negatively affect the lifetime of the tree? Is it possible to know or sense if a bonsai perhaps should to be replanted in nature? Do bonsai have to be restyled continuously throughout their lifetimes? Thank you.

Les jeux sont faits ! J'adore ! Personnellement, je trouve ce sujet masculin et le pot rectangulaire serait davantage adapté à peine un peu plus grand. Merci pour le partage.

Great tree, awesome restyle, and the lower jin reduction is fine.. But, to me, the pot is too small, I think the tree would look much better in a pot that is 50% larger. Very nice overall.

Stemberg carece de uma delicadeza que pode ser encontrada nos mestres japoneses, mauro atua com excessiva força nos ramos, destacando sempre a primeira rama, há um certo grau de artificial ou que destoa da visão naturalista. Se instalado no tokonoma terá dificuldade em arranjar a planta de acento ou expressar o simbolismo entre o homem, a terra e o céu na triangulação cósmica. Mauro ataca a árvore com uma força industrial sem destacar o primitivismo da arte do bonsai. Mauro não descobre a beleza ou o abstrato sublime da árvore, simplesmente arranja um bom artefato industrial, mesmo no caso do centenário Rocky juniper.

Mauro is excellent in technique but about styling is terrible… so fake and not natural silhouette. Flat and too triangular. He doesn’t respect the natural movement of the tree
