The Maus is available till November 7th. No big deal if you miss it, the next year anniversary Maus will be back again ;) Honestly I feel like they should put it back in the tech tree. Right now bombs aren't that dangerous (almost feels like planes are waisting them on the Maus lol ), and it can bounce/survive rockets, heat rounds, even APFSDS if you angle. I bounced so much in this video, I didn't even bother doing "the bounce counter ", just too much lol

I suspect they nerfed the Sturmtiger projectile that is like some 250kg bomb and because WT is after 10 years a program cluster cluck, the damage mechanic seems connected to bombs. Interconnection like when they nerfed the death conditions for Ka-50 (counter rotating rotors make a cut of tail less dramatic than for other helicopters), suddenly we had a 15 sec forced J-out timer in Air RB and even if we could land our damaged plane on the airfield, the game force bail out us on the airfield . The airfield "bug" is still present to what I have experienced recently.

I just had a game where we had 7 mice from the start of the game, we formed a conga line, creeped our way into enemy spawn like we owned the place. I've never seen anything so majestic.

remember, the front turret is weak, if you're in big danger angle excessively. the best angle is about 55 degrees, which looks like way too much, but it just works.

That last fight made me want a game mode where you're in a Maus and you have to escort somebody in a little tiny tank with a bunch of also tiny tanks stopping you. They have no way to pen you, but they can kill your VIP like any other tank. You have to get from point A to point B, enemy team has unlimited respawns (you do, too, but you shouldn't be able to die anyways.) Done right, that sounds amazingly fun.

Good to see you’re enjoying the Maus again Dollar! Just bought this bad boy last night, and instantly got gaijined due to week long disconnects from servers, 999ping and 50-80% packet loss. Hopefully when it sorts itself out, I’ll actually be able to enjoy this beast

@@phoenix59x I know it sounds daft, but try updating your internet drivers - mine ended up updating twice and forced the pc to update twice as well, now I can play again and only sometimes get 1-5% PL instead

Hey Dollar, just wanted to give you a shout out and say I love your channel man! Stumbled across it a few weeks ago and have since binged the hell out of it lol. Your warthunder vids are some of my fav content on youtube. Outside of youtube as well for that matter, you are hilarious. I see a lot of people comment on how good your vid editing is but I haven’t seen anyone comment on the audio. So here it is, your use of audio is fantastic. The way you pan, make things sound muffled, distant then closer etc etc etc is fantastic and something I don’t notice anyone else doing really. Not as well as you do!.

Don't forget that Maus' 75 mm has its own dedicated gunsight that you can access through the secondary weapon keybinding. Also, you made the right decision there at the end of the video - if you come across someone behind your gun in the Maus, don't try to immediately turn towards them - keep your armor angled and wait for their reload

With the shell changes, it may be more survivable than last year. Just have to see if I get the fun of fighting higher tiers, like last year, every match.

It benefits from volumetric armour quite a bit. I'm accustomed to killing Maus's...Mice but they are more difficult now.

By the way be aware for IS-7 because they're main Cannon is strong enough to take down your Maus in two shots ok bro. I just want to make sure you remember that and be careful. I got my maus yesterday, and the stock grind was HORRENDOUS. But now i got most of its modules, and i must say it slaps. It can annihilate almost anything with its 128 and the 75 is great for mopping up light armor and tracks. I only have one problem with it though, why is it 7.7? The amount of times i got killed by apds heatfs and atgms is awful. If it was 7.3 or 7.0 i would say its Perfect. But as of now its still a solid 8/10.

I always take some 122 and 128mm HE shell with me when playing big bois, since they can sometimes be used to overpressue tanks that can't be killed with AP from the front.

@@DOLLARplays I see 🤔 Like M6A1. That sucks. I don’t have the APHE-DS unlocked but I think I rather take HE for some problematic targets. I like the velocity for APDS but the worse angle penetration and postpen kinda negates the advantage.
