Yes, it is "Spice Girls", not "Spice Works". :D If one "t" is missing, "girls" becomes "works". Mauste = Spice Tytöt = Girls Työt = Works. And here some more...: Työ = Work Tyttö = A girl Tytön = Girl's Työtön = Unemployed Tytötön = Not having a girl Työttä = Being without work. Tytöttä = Being without a girl

They were previously called Kaneli (Cinnamon) when the third sister Maija played drums. Asko Keränen of 22 Pistepirkko produced Kaneli's album and he used to call them maustetytöt so Anna and Kaisa decided to change their name to Maustetytöt when Maija left the band.

These are damn smart sisters. Their lyrics and compositions are a hell of a great tribute to the old Leevi and the Leavings tradition. These ladies somehow GET it perfectly, in such a deep level. I absolutely love the dead pan comedy of their talented act.
