Is this my first KZfaq comment for y’all? Wild. Oops. Watch Alice!!! 🐇 But also I’m super curious to know if either or both of you had emotional connections to the prequel trilogy and/or the clone wars prior to this show? Not necessarily Rebels (altho I do recommend). Because I know for me, that’s where a lot of my forgiveness of the underwhelm that you reference about the show is. I have cried multiple times talking about Ahsoka and Anakin.

' Tis the first comment. Welcome. I have more connection with prequels but no connection with The Clone Wars. And while I do admit I love seeing Anakin, I don't feel like the show was particularly built around that relationship (though they do reference it a lot) so it just feels out of place at best. I wanted more of the relationship with Sabine and Ahsoka.

Really??? I actually don’t agree. To me this show is ahsoka+Anakin & Ahsoka+Sabine. It’s completing Ahsoka’s training with Anakin. So of course she interacts with him/his memory. How else is Ahsoka meant to become the Master she is meant to be without reconciling with the conflict of Anakin vs Darth Vader?

That's a fair assessment though maybe it wasn't set up for me all that well in the beginning. Or actually maybe it was setup but because my only interaction with Ahsoka was with The Mandalorian it really wasn't at the forefront of my mind. Her incomplete training didn't seem clear for me as someone who experienced her as a full Jedi and having already faced vader and had years of healing, it just didn't occur to me that it was still lingering for her until episode 5. So I can see what you mean now. Maybe I just need time away from it to think and appreciate it more.
