Sadhguru is a yogi and a mystic, a man whose passion spills into everything he encounters. Named one of India's 50 most influential people.

This man changed my entire mental construct. I am of Muslim Faith, and I partly agree so strongly with what he said regarding religion. The problem is, people run to religion to soothe their pain, but don’t pursue wisdom to understand it’s from themselves to begin with.

I’m following Sadhguru now for about 4-5 years and it always amazes me with how much grace and integrity he treats all interviewers and the audience whenever he goes. There are sadly still only a handful number of hosts who do the homework of researching his work before the actual interview. The set of “standard” superficial questions and the shallowness of the overall content is unbearable to watch really 😂 .But there’s learning even in this. Keep going Sadhguru and keep lighting the pathway 🙌

Bitter small-minded people will always have something bad to say about those who do more then them. They don't even bother to sit and think this trough, to investigate and learn more about the topic they so easily discard, they just talk shit. I tried to convince my friends for years to change, not to become spiritual, but to be better people, to think more openly and freely, to feel more and care more, but it was so pointless, I just lost a lot of time and energy. Maybe your friends are different, but pay close attention, if you see that they don't change, or that they change very slowly, I would consider leaving them. New amazing people will show up in your life, but that can happen only when you leave old friends. Hope this helps bro, much love!

His fake compassion fits very well into religions doctrine so thats not surprising, so theres still a long way to walk fro religion to Sadguru and then to thruth. Sadguru is dangerous and he spreads fear just like religions. He's like his own little religions and i understand that people find comfort i that, but this guy is like a McDonalds Guru. He has some lessons to give and for some they may have been usefull, but he isnt or at least to my long research, he isnt who he says he is. He does not respect sentient life, he does not respect your life nor mine. Hes a sly little snake but if you want, take his lessons and to good things out of them. Just dont listen to the fearmongering shit he is putting put there. Theres alot of it. Its like one would prefer Walter McCorrisken over Shakespeare. I guess some do.

if you fully understood that you and everyone will die one day (theres a diffrence between understanding interllectually and an experiencially understanding) and that you can regulate all your emotions (which both is definetly possible, since I am there almost and I know people who are there), then losing someone is not sad anymore. It just is. You might miss the person sometimes, but you wont become sad, but stay emotionally neutral or joyful when thinking about them. If you think thats cold or something, just ask yourself if the person who died would like you to be sad.

I have to say, as a norwegian I'm really proud of Skavlan and the panel for this one. I've watched countless Sadghuru interviews where the hosts questions and comments don't get to the point nearly as fast. Even adding some humour. Also proud of Norway that we have two women on the panel who were allowed to interrupt and speak from the heart, because they spoke for all those who shared the doubts, and set him up beautifully for his explanation. And Tormund just look at him in awe the whole time (hahaha) and coming in with the perfectly timed reply. Even the crowd behavior was wonderful. And it was all done in 10 minues. Exceptional!

I'm Norwegian. We have a very silly, casual type of humor up here. I believe he was trying to ease Sadhguru into conversation by making jokes that typically work quite well as ice-breakers in Norway. That being said, I find it unprofessional of him to not consider differences in culture. What is funny and likeable in one culture could be rude in another, and I think it's the interviewer's job to be aware of that and adjust accordingly.

When Sadhguru says all emotions lie within you, he doesn't mean you should control it but he's just pointing out that you're capable of controlling it. Experiencing sadness/happiness and all other emotions are what makes you human but if you take it too far you might not be ..it might not be good for you. So that understanding that you're in control is important

It is also a stark contrast and reminder how much people CAN pay intense attention to someone when they are under the impression that there is so much wisdom in the person sitting across from them. I can’t help but think how much more positive and authentic our actions would be if we looked at and paid attention to everyone in that same way.

Belief is a thought process. When you have spent enough time focusing on your inner world rather than the outer world then "belief" is no longer needed because you will be having a personal, spiritual experience and you will "know" rather than believe. "Knowing" is a far deeper experience. Beliefs can cause chaos as we can see when we look at the unconscious behaviors playing out in the world. Go inward, encounter yourself and know.
