Yes, as soon as the connection to the app fails then RTH will kick in as per normal.

It it looks like dji disabled it. Their support says their doing testing and that it's been deactivated outside of china while they are testing. I know it worked in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and a few other places till recently. It still works in the RC Pro as far as know. Will be testing the RC Pro soon.

@@BASSstarlet Correct yes. But if you don't have a sim card in then the 4g functionality just wont work, drone will work as normal.

Hi there, it seems dji has stopped it from working outside of China, the dongle still works great in the RC Pro though - no simcard lock.

It only works with the mavic 3 and mini 3 pro as far as I know. Oh and the RC Pro.

@@InfinityDrones for me a 4g mod on the FPV drone would be a bit pointless anyway as the battery is the limiting factor but a I’d love to turn one of my planes into 4g with a massive battery!,but wouldn’t know where to start

@@edbyrne7911 dji removed drone support for the 4g dongle outside of China sadly. The dongle still works great as 4g modem for the RC Pro (so no need to hotpot your phone anymore)

Lol! Not sure why you're so upset. Remember if you use the mavic your range is unlimited. I didnt say anything about this improving your battery. There are lots of other solutions where, for example, the drone is not in flight but still recoring. Not sure why you're so attacking.
