Max I luv and support all your music projects but the fact you are trying to use the pathetic excuse as if Rizzo was stale and sounding the same is total horse shxt and shame on you dude. All the video interviews of you talking about how you have a “Rizzo” which was implying how badass his playing always is. What 8 Soulfly records he’s on and ALL 4 Cavalera Conspiracy albums, get out of here with that nonsense talk Max. His work on Archangel is amazing and same with Ritual. Enslaved? All the records since Prophecy, your BEST albums are with Rizzo! You use to say all the time how Rizzo to you is how Randy Rhodes was to Ozzy, but in this interview you are saying opposite as if Rizzo couldn’t do more traditional solos such as a Randy or Eddie on Totem. I’m sorry but I have to call BS when there is. I have defended you and Gloria and all the involvement your kids are in with your music when people bad mouthed you over and over again. Your music made my days in the military a lot better during some horrific times and gave great inspiration, but you have to stop BSing man. Every interview with ALL former members of Soulfly ALL have the EXACT SAME stories all of the time in one way or another about how they were mistreated. It’s getting to a point where nobody is going to believe anything you say anymore man. YOU know Rizzo was out because of the whole COVID pandemic BS and having no support. I’m not saying he is right in that situation because none of us know your business but just say it’s unfortunate Rizzo is gone now but we needed to move on, next question. End of story is all that needs to be said but to try and act as if you didn’t want Rizzo on Totem because everything was becoming stale is the biggest BS I ever heard and just makes someone have to laugh. Hell not only were the solos overdone on Totem they all sounded like rip offs of Rizzo’s lead playing anyway especially Filth Upon Filth, and as a diehard fan of you and your music I’m still going to call you out when you’re wrong just like I would call Rizzo out if he is wrong about something, and I think this interview and what you said was totally wrong. Funny too that you bring up racism in the interview and Rizzo’s girlfriend has been experiencing that from members of your camp it’s been reported. What happened to our Bob Marley of METAL?! Why not change then when you brought Zyon on Savages as full time drummer and then also Mike on Bass when he finally joined. Rizzo can do the Flamenco, Reggae, death metal, Dime, EVH, Randy Rhodes, hell in his guitar solo performances at Soulfly live shows he would play all those guitar gods riffs and your gonna sit there and pretend as if Rizzo now sucks. Well I know one thing he tears it up on new Ill Nino song and definitely going to pick up their new album which I wouldn’t have even cared until Rizzo joined back up. 🤘We all luv you Max but you are wrong I feel in this interview at least and I think if you are smart and a good person you will find a way to get Rizzo back in your bands.
