Yeah the tools you get in this game are great and fun to use but the enemy variety is somewhat lacking, but it’s not nearly as bad as some people say

there are some perks which cannot be selected if another similar perk is active

There are two perks that you cannot have at the same time because they would cancel each other out since they do opposite things. One of them makes all pickups during a fight health, and the other makes them all energy.

yea i did it. but at later stages of the game i think at mission 12 and on i turned on the aim assist. reaction time you need on pc aiming without it is crazy for some boss fights. even with it its totally crazy. finally finished my 1st play through on evil difficulty. I don't see a point for new game plus. feels the same.

I'm actually playing my first time on Evil and without aim assist (it's a shame to play with aim assist on PC, lol). It's really hard on first levels when you have few enhancements and you are not accustomed to the combat system yet. It becomes easier during the playthrough, however.

you can level up and unlock new skills that's the only benefit you can get

@@MrYZ69 When you finally unlock every single thing, the combat really starts to shine, but if you played NG on Evil then you really have nowhere else to go. I do believe that NG+ is supposed to be slightly harder, but I played NG on Hard and NG+ on Evil and the second playthrough was easier.

replaying same missions won't give you XP only playing new story line missions will give you XP

@@TheGamicissist I'm not replaying missions. This is my 3rd full playthrough. The second time doing it as new game plus...

@@Anathema706 then I'm not sure what could be the issue, ideally playing new game+ story missions should grant you XP. Try updating your game to latest version and check

@@TheGamicissist It's fine. I just deleted it and started all over. It's leveling up now. I'm just glad it's a fun game to play or else it'd be a chore. Thanks for the help.

No it's not like DMC. It's like a weird bastardization of god of war 2018 but more focused on hit and run with long range weapons instead of combo and staggering enemies. The melee combat itself is pretty weak as all you get is a basic combo and an uppercut that can have an extension. Then you get 2 more uppercut extensions with a slam and an electric slam, effectively the same thing. However it still works. It's not even close to the depth and fun of god of war (let's even talk about Ragnarok which i played before evil west and boy oh boy, it's ROUGH playing evil west right after gow ragnarok, when evil west can't even compare to gow2018, the game it's emulating). But it's fun in its own way. I just wish it had more oomph in the melee. The f combo is where it's at but it's pretty weak and gets you stuck in a very long animation. Not ideal on max difficulty where everything 1-2 or max 3 shots you.

Have you cunts even played Devil May Cry? Nothing about this game closely resembles DMC. It's a fun game, but christ. These comments are stupid asf

They left you keep leveling up indefinitely (might be a cap at 50 or 99,) but 35 is effectively the last real level, because after that you have nothing else to spend perk points on.

Are you playing in the performance mode? Response times are way better then Bloodborne with its frame pacing issues causing some unevenness in response.

Same here....i thought it's my mouse but in other games it works fine....mashing it to get the melee uff
