As a young girl, I was sexually abused by a family member for 3 years. I was raped in my early 30's by a family member. Each time I felt responsible for what happened. I didn't get family support. I carried this feeling of not worthy and fear of men for many years. Through a program at church, I had a vision of Jesus holing me. I started healing. He loves me and has carried me through each horrible momment. It was a nightmare! I still have moments, and I take them to the Lord. He is my healer. Thank you for sharing this.

I was being haunted by memories of abuse, & prayed to Jesus to help me. Immediately I next read a daily Bible devotion, and to my amazement, the title on the page for that day was "The healing of memories"!!! I have had peace ever since, because of the faith this gave me in Jesus' healing. If I ever feel harm of a memory again, I face it with faith that 'Jesus is healing that' with full assurance it is true.

Wow 😢 I am soooo sorry to learn that this happened to such an amazing man. I praise my God in heaven for meeting him that day and saving him from trauma. May the Lord visit each child that has been sexually abused and save each and every one of them from trauma.

Why did God not intervene and stop this abuse while it was happening? He could have stopped this trauma right from the beginning if he was all powerful. Yet he just let it happen. Is God a callous God? He let this abuse happen. What a disgusting God.

@@DennisMerwood-xk8wp Maybe God alerted his parents, but they didn't listen and sent him with this person anyways. We don't know so many things. All we know is that God is good, and the devil is a thief, a killer and a liar. Be mad with the one that is bad. Jesus healed him from trauma! He is good❤

It doesn't matter that what you experienced isn't "as bad" as what I experienced. It's still traumatic and still valid. I hate when people say "but it wasn't as bad as what so-and-so went through." It is still valid and causes damage to the heart and soul. I do commend you for sharing though. It's crucial to helping others survivors, to share our stories.

Yes!!!! Thank you for this! We need to stop putting limits on what Jesus can heal. His heart aches over this, but He can and does heal these wounds. Once I stopped asking "why it had happened" and just brought my deep well of pain to Jesus, He begun to bring healing to my heart and my family...He still is. Such a beautiful Savior! Now I look back in amazement at where I am today because of who Jesus is for me.

I understand it's been the same amount of time for me After serving in Taiwan for 20 years as a missionary. Now I'm back in the states. And I seem to have more flashbacks and be memories emerging I guess because i'm back in the most traumatizing place I ever lived in I just turned forty-five, and I am still not married I feel twenty-five at most, and Most of my life is kind of a blur to be honest

I pray for healing for all the men and boys that went through rape or molestation that have never talked about it or feel ashamed , etc ! God is so good!!! I had a similar encounter with God. I was sexually molested as a child by a cousin. 10 years old is too young to experience what I did. Over the years I pushed it all deep within. Until I was an adult having big time problems. God meant me one day while I was studying and gave me great healing as I told him about my pain. There is nothing like it. Feeling him there with his arms wrapped Tightly around me. As I let it all out. It was something I will never forget. Thank you for sharing your story Max Lucadio. God is our healer!!!!!

I also have the same experience. It happened when I was 18 years old. I was abused by the Head of the church. It took 9mons for him doing it whenever he wants to do it. Scaring me with the shame I will encounter when people knows about what is going on with me. He would put me on shame whenever I try to refused him.. On May 19, 2010, I put an end and tried to be strong to move out from this. I escaped and that's the best gift I ever gave myself. But of course that was God's greatest gift for me to be saved from this evil doer so called Pastor. Thank God, and every time I remember it I thank God for saving my life.

I am a survivor of being groomed by a neighborhood boy (9-10) when I was 8 and molestation by an uncle by marriage from 9-15. Jesus, my therapist, and EMDR later I’m healed in a way I never thought possible. You are not alone and freedom is possible.

I too Pator Lacado am a survivor. It started when I was 3 and continued till I was 6. It was my sister I had no idea it was wrong at that young of age but God showed me it wasnt right as I started school. It happened in my parents home and I lived with that till I was married and had just become a mother. I was very protective my husband didn't understand so I told him he hugged me and said it's ok and he has till this day never mentioned it. My son was 3 and it was a Sunday after church and my mother and dad were at our home my mom was fussing that I needed to stop be so protective it hurt me so out of anger I blurted out why I was this way I'll never forget the hurt in my daddys eyes. My mother showed no emotion and it hurt deeply. But I can say now through counseling and the help of my Lord and Savior I hold no hate I love my sister I have forgave her and she has to live with what she did to me. But I wasn't the only one in my family my second oldest sister suffered by the same thing by our sister. U know it was hard living with that all those years but I'm so thankful for God never leaving me alone He brought me through and I'm stronger person for it. I went to a Christian therapy. I went to so many other therapist and only he could help me! Because Jesus was in it! I’m a survivor of childhood abuse, school boy who abused me and my first husband! They have no longer power over my body or over my life! I had after so many therapy failures psychosomatic issues, they are all gone! Prayers to you 🙏🏻

Please pray for me I have been in an abusive marriage for 30 years... I'm broken and hopeless and can't find any strength to leave...My security blanket is my dog and I can't leave him.... and nobody wants a 140lb hound....

You can leave if you want, you’re never stuck. Those things you are using as excuses to stay in that relationship are just that, excuses. There are places for abused women who can help you and will help you if you let them and will let you bring your dog.

I searched this topic because our family is in the MIDST of this storm!! Our 4 year old granddaughter cried out for help a year ago, but the legal system is designed to protect and reward criminals and punish victims. I beg Our Merciful God to RESCUE HER!! The court has begun to send her BACK to her abusers!!!! PLEASE GOD, DO NOT ALLOW IT!!!! Put her enemies to an open shame!! In Jesus's Name I implore The One True God!!

For anyone watching this who: 1) Did not know at 12 years old to take communion to heal from abuse 2) Who have struggled for a lifetime with pain from abuse 3) Who May feel guilt watching this that as a victim they are not yet healed 4) Whose abuse ruined and devastated their life 5) Who need a Christian friend, mentor, counsellor or parent to help them heal. You are okay. You are loved by God. Everyones’s healing journey is different. Everyone is different. Everyone has different temperaments and responses to abuse. For some maybe one communion service brings healing. For others, this is not the cure. God LOVES you.

My dad's actually abused me every single weekend from the age of 10 until 12 years old when he actually got remarried to another woman what I have learned is how vitally important it is to forgive and forgiveness is not for the offender forgiveness is for you which sets you free but I assure you that father God in heaven will avenge your flight I have been a Deliverance worker for the past 10 years working for father God in Jesus my name and the root spirit of prostate cancer which my dad has severely is pedophilia incest so I know for sure without a doubt that father God avenged my flight so forgive and like I said forgiveness is not for the perpetrator it's for you to cut the tape rewinding over and over and over inside of your body your brain of being sexually abused God bless you all in Jesus my name

Max Lucado is lost! His recent actions with regard to BLM and his statements on that goes against Gods Word. He should NOT be teaching vulnerable young christians or guiding them on their path. Pray for this man cause he needs it. Shame on TBN with elevating this man on their show, they should be rebuking him for this.
