Not sure who "they" is you are referring to. The Republicans want to show that the transcript does or does not reflect the audio accurately. The administration has a history of editing transcripts to cover Biden's gaffs. The Dems don't want it released because it was show the president was bumbling for answers or maybe even coached.

I wouldn't give anything to this current body of congress. After seeing what this body did to the jan 6th tapes I wouldn't give it to them either. To this day Trump supporters will say the police let them in and that they acted like tourist. Several of their ranking member refused subpoena from the jan 6th committee till this day GYM JORDAN.
