Honestly, I feel like Capcom's most feasible approach would be to start treating SF like their own version of King of Fighters, where they can unite all of the fighting game franchises (and even some non-fighting game series like Strider) under one flagship title. That definitely seems to be the goal nowadays with them confirming that Strider is also in the same universe with an already robust SF universe comprised of Final Fight, Captain Commando, Saturday Night Slam Masters, and Rival Schools. There's definitely room for more series to officially become SF canon (lookin' at you, Darkstalkers).

Even street fighter and marvel struggles to sell , a new darkstalker and rival school is impossible

@@gamalsaad1545 They struggled mostly due to Capcom's very preventable mistakes. With Nakayama presumably taking over Capcom's fighting games in the future, and the devs looking like they give a damn this time around, I'm sure that it wouldn't be nonsensical for Capcom to finally get around to reviving their old fighting game IPs in some capacity. It's improbable, but definitely not impossible.

It’s possible, the game saw huge changes already earlier this year. Final patch is late this or next year definitely worth keeping an eye out.

Part of me is hoping that the fact that the story is going towards a “reboot” means Capcom will start to initiate an era of reestablishing and reintroducing characters from older IPs and more crossovers leading to a “FGC’s Avengers” event being this game!!!

One that wasn't mismanaged, unlike the last game that was basically Capcom Smash Bros.

@Blade Striker It was UMvC3 (like X, Gene, & Miles Morales), not MvCI. The scrapped MvCI Season 2 characters were Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Asura, Lady, Rashid, & Gill.

@@cybernetichype661 No need for a crossover event. Just create a brand new alternate universe that all Capcom fighting games share and build that universe like it is "brand new." Like how Injustice is a brand new universe that tells its own story separate from the mainline DC universe.
