Jerico Bautista Mighty no.9 is fun gameplay wise but it was just a huge letdown budget wise

I had more fun playing Mighty No. 9 than what Mega Man 11 looks to be. Say what you want about the terrible PR and pizza explosions, it was fun to play and to get good at.

+i208khonsu, Mega Man 11 looks more interesting though. Besides the aesthetic, the problem with Mighty no.9 was that the entire gameplay felt at war with itself. The dash mechanic and the level design and enemy layout felt so disruptive to each other that it made you wonder if the levels were planned out properly or were rushed. So much stop and go, especially when the dash mechanic seemed to encourage speedrunning through the game. The level design was also very bad for a Megaman-like game, and the enemies weren't interesting.

I 100% disagree with you. The dash mechanic was great, drove you to keep pushing forward instead of playing it safe. The entire levels were designed around this. The only bad level was the power plant where they had to put text on the screen to tell you how to beat it. I really don't know what to tell people who say MN9's levels were bad other than to go play a Mega Man game. MN9's levels were Mega Man through and through.

+ShortCake Kamikaze, my god, please carefully read what I post before you comment. I said the gameplay was at war with itself, not that the stop and go gameplay was bad. The dash mechanic to kill enemies encourages speedrunning, but the levels and enemies mostly had you constantly breaking your pace. Some enemies were even paced so close together and often soaks in damage from the others that you couldn't even dash through them. This is not a complaint exclusive to me, by the way. Only a few levels were actually designed to be speedrunned. Liking Mighty No. 9 is fine, but let's not pretend it's a good Megaman game, or a good game. If the game was made with the dash mechanic in mind, it would've been like Dustforce (a better designed game), or if it was made like a regular Megaman game, it would've been something like Gunvolt (another better designed game).

Throw Away I'd rather have Zero HD with 3D models. The grim and dangerous world of the Zero series just feels right with being actually mechanized.

Honestly yes over the an 11th classic Megaman game.

A remake of Megaman 1-6 either in HD 2.5D with 3D models on par with GGXRD, or HD sprites that's like in "Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero" in one Anniversary game? YES. I would so much rather have something like that. They should've at least gone with MegaMan X, the better series. But at this point, I'm just glad we're getting anything at all.

TheOmegaDragon the zero series ended and his successor is already out which is doing good the only one that can can continue with is the ZX Series which end on a cliffhanger The Legend Series in there the cliffhanger The X Series still need to be continued to go into the zero series and the Mega Man series that needs to go into the X Series. All the other ones is finish with their storylines.

bladewind the ZX series was mediocre at best I had no attachment towards the main characters in those games and the only gimmick they had were transformations. The Zero series were better it focused more on a well beloved character with a backstory and his struggles to defend both humans and reploids with his own strength. Vent, Aile, Grey, and Ashe rely on the power of the biometals not on there own strength or growth. It would have been more easier to rebuild their bodies and put X's and Zero's souls in there rather than in biometals.

TheOmegaDragon I could see why you think that but they grew on me especially on a ZX Advent the main characters from the first game grew up so much only the only mad about didn't expand upon the old characters or what happened to them but Ciel kept her promise which really hit me hard. Also I bought the body's I guess she didn't want to make another X clone or Omega seriously making their bodies again we're the whole reason for like two plots the game and they never end well getting their body stolen it and everything.
