They say it is noob friendly but i dont see. i tried just thinking of my own combos but my oponent would just regain balance a while after i started so i thought: shit, how am i supposed to know which combos can be done and which cannot? since then, i started just trying to replicate internet combos and it worked out pretty well. dante is amazing. and i like how fluent everything is in this game. i dont like fighting games where it feels that there is a massive stop each time you get a hit, like in street fighter. the only times it sort of happens here is like when zero uses his standing H, but at least thats because he is getting like 3 hits right away. so yeah, amazing game but not noob friendly. you will actually need to try to get good at it.

The mission mode in the game is a good way to get an idea of how specific characters' combos work. it's an easy way to strengthen your execution, to an extant. Also, MvC3 is noob friendly, in the sense that it's not that difficult to perform decent combos (at least compared to a lot of other fighting games) and the special/super moves are pretty easy to perform. But, the competitive players are just SO advanced compared to the casual players that it makes it hard to play randoms online.

Sorry but I don't lag on Smash 4 even in the slightest only the other side causes lag so it's probably your own connection man

PurpleFreezer I can assure you then that it is your own connection which causes the lag. Smash 4 runs buttery smooth online if both players have a good connection. If it is always laggy your connection is most likely is to slow or instable and thus it is not the games fault.

There's no way to tell how good your opponents connection is though in Smash. Like it would be really nice if you could see the connection strength of your opponent before the match but you can't so you can't decline laggy players. And if you enter a 2 fps match with someone due to them having bad internet you have to play through the whole match cause you get put in time out if you leave. The the netcode itself is fine but the fact that you are basically forced to play with laggy players makes it not very enjoyable.

Eddie Perkins amen to that. Fighting games lag can't compare to auto stepping out and lag fouls. Don't get me wrong fighting games have input issues, but when you don't input at all and your toon moves out of bounds you know the net code is a major issue

Unless your playing to just goof around it can suck playing a fighting game competitively when the game is eating your inputs like pac man eats pellets, super smash bros brawl was a game I used to play a lot online back when it came out but all the lag made it really hard to enjoy even simple matches. Not to mention, not everybody has a buddy to play with around them so local multiplayer becomes a moot point.

because of online multiplayer. When you press buttons and that stuff isn't coming out immediately in a game like this, it DEFINITELY takes the fun out of playing online.

i know. I was in a backyard SHED away from my router, played two matches online with the same dude, and somehow the lag was minimal to none! whoever the hell did the netcode for the vita version needs to help out with the XBONE and Steam versions PRONTO

I wish I could say I've had the same experience. Every match I play on the Vita has a framerate that could be bested by Powerpoint

i know but the original release of this game then the ultimate edition release and now the PS4 release ALL have shit netcode and awful online play. When the ultimate edition launched it should have been fixed. Fighting games and shooters more so than any other genres MUST have good netcode. It's not that hard to develop it and it's not that costly so I see no excuse not too. Personally, if any fighting game focused on MP has bad netcode that's a game I won't buy. Can't stand lag, delay, frame fuckups ect.
