For a guy who lives a lot of his life at 300 kmph speeds, max is a pretty laid back guy. Chilled out, relaxed, down to earth. This is definitely a new era of drivers that have come in past decade or so.

Usually I don't have a whole lot good to say about the younger generations (I'm in my 40s so Gen X), but the half of the grid that is filled with the younger drivers have absolutely been the best thing for the sport...the closeness and support they give each other, the brotherhood...F1 had never been like that prior to this, it was cutthroat among the drivers and they were rarely friends. They are all such good guys, every one of them. Max and Charles have been so fun to watch, and after the race you can detect no cringey toxicity...they debrief each other and congratulate each other...such a change from last year.

Max was better in every way than Lewis in '21, and if you cant move on with that then you're not a real formula 1 fan. My dad is a black hack driver and is one of the few that hates chatty customers. Quite a few of his mates are the same it does go the other way because so many cab drivers talk utter crap alot of customers expect it and try to start it anyway.....its bizarre

That ending was amazing. He seemed so calm and collected the whole way through, but the ending really showed just how much you got to him. What a great guy, even with a terrible situation he's trying to make it a positive lifetime experience for the "taxi driver".

He seems like such a genuinely sweet person to meet, and honestly if I met him I hope I didn't annoy him because I really wouldn't want to embarrass him or put him in that position, but yeah he's really great still trying to make it a positive time for him, I know a lot of other celebrities or racers wouldn't stand for it and would get snappy fast. Really shows his character, shows that there are still good people, and famous ones at that, he seems to want to make others happy or at least not upset them in any way even if he himself isn't comfortable with the situation. The world needs more people like him in it

I didn't like Verstappin before I saw this haha. He's a legit good dude. He wasn't rude or showed any anger or annoyance at all. He was still answering his questions and being nice the whole time. Most famous people who aren't half as good or famous in their profession as Verstappin is at his, wouldn't have been anywhere close to as nice as Verstappin was.

What probably made this even more awkward for Max was that he might've had a hard time understanding his accent, since he's not a native speaker. He was so patient and respectful.

I don't think he'd have any issue understanding the accent as he hears all kinds of accents on a daily basis. English is my 3rd language and could easily understand everything. It all depends on how often you speak and hear English.

Honestly this is one of the few times I was glad it kept buffering, it was so embarrassing to watch I'm surprised he had so much patience for Steve, really shows his character he's a genuinely good guy and tries to be polite the whole time even when obviously annoyed early in. Poor guy, like others said he probably just wanted a quiet and quick ride but damn he handled this well. Poor boy thinking something was seriously wrong!!! Touches my heart to see him still be polite

That was so uncomfortable to watch, hilarious! But still uncomfortable. I could just see in max's face how this Welsh nutter driving the cab was so annoying him. The funny thing is we probably all experienced a cab ride like this, where you just want to chill on your phone, say nothing, but you've ended up with the chattiest man in the world. Respect to max, he took this brilliant, what a great guy. Superb job Steve and channel 4.
