Hi, which firmware version update was that? Mine is at 0.5.6 (I think) and there is an update available in the JBL app, but I am afraid of updating it, knowing there is no way back.

i'm a seafarer and i've been in too many countries already in my career and i got my JBL Charge 3 with me in my journey for 2 years now and i'm so happy with it's performance especially when i updated the firmware it is so dope. i'm contented with my charge 3 man. thanks for the review.

From this video the charge 4 sounded the worst the highs were too low. I have had 2 charge 3's both have taken a shit on me. Just got the 5, 4 days ago and I can confidentiality say the 5 gets a little distorted at max volume. Never had that with the 3. 5 more bass for sure. Need a 2nd 1 for more tests

@@Terrymateo I know someone who has a Charge 3 and it just crackles like crazy. Charge 4 sounds dull and veiled. The 5 sounds best. Bass is disappointing on all these of them.

What a reveal! Nice job man. 😁 With the addition of a tweeter and a new firmware, this is really the best Charge so far. Hopefully, the price would go down a bit. Still, it's good for listening at 40-80% volume.

I got it all right the charge 3 was the most muddy and lacked in Bass the charge 4 lacked in the highs but had good bass and the charge 5 I could tell had the most present highs but still produced good bass

It would be the charge 5 if it wasn’t for the forward vocals, that would just do my head in plus the fact that I can’t link it to my boombox. By not making the connect system universal JBL are actually loosing sales. I’ll stick with my charge 4. I wonder what the outcome would be at 45% volume 🔥🔥

I only bought a charge 5 cause both my threes took a shit so I upgraded for the Bluetooth upgrade . but the three at max volume is a lot cleaner sounding than the five at max.

Well yeah but the charge 4 and 5 are launder that the 3. The 5 got more bass and loudness and thanks to the 10 millimeter teeter the midst and highs seem more clear that the 3.

@@angelmarquez2572 true in a way, I've noticed that the Charge 3 is louder than Charge 4 but not as loud as Charge 5. But value wise, when compared to the prices now, it's not a big trade off if someone's on a budget

@@dsbrajaguru in some way you’re right because the charge 3 is a little bit better that charge 4 and charge 3 is doesn’t cost that much and charge 3 has estéreo mode most people love estéreo mode, so yeah I think the charge 3 is still a great deal this days, but for me I prefer the charge 5.

i think the 3 is the best option too, but to be honest you dont really need stereo in a speaker. And the 5 sounds much better than both. My charge 3's right side speaker broke and ill consider buying the five or the 3 again but def. not the 4.

When I got the flip 5, I did notice that the hights weren't that good. So I was interested in the Charge 5 I heard the difference but I couldn't compare it bc i was dumb enough to push my dustcap and it sounds bad

My Charge 1 still works but doesn't hold a charge as long as it did. Still charges tablets and phones good for a time perk until recharged. I'll buy another Charge x when this one dies. And it still sounds good.

The charge 5 sounded clear and full. The charge 4 sounded tinny. The charge 3 is a bit muddy but still sounds better than the very hollow tinny sounding charge 4. Just my verdict.

charge 5 sounds better not because the update. The charge 5 allready done the burn-in process. it makes the speaker softer so can produce deeper bass.

I have 2 of the Charge 3 with the updates & they both sound dramatically much more richer in sounds compared to this video ? Charge 4 id pass & the Charge 5 is definitely nice after the updates in firmware, but its more than 2x double the price of the Charge 3 which can be paired together for party stereo mode !

Damn the charge 3 really showing it’s age it’s sound really bad for today standard is clipping and sound distorted. When jbl does an update they really be bringing the magic the charge 5 sound much better and louder I might get it. Pleas do a review with the Soundcore motion plus thinking if I should replace it with the charge 5

@@kingokingos3746 If you get a charge other the xtreme I feel like it should be the charge 4 because in my opinion the bass is the most present for every charge but with all charge you really can't get the Soundstage of any xtreme in my opinion the biggest problem with all the charges

It's fake... JBL Charge 4 is more better sound than Charge 5. Cause JBL Charge 4 has 60Hz-20kHz and then Charge 5 just 65Hz-20kHz..
