As a fan of the series I’d definitely say that the video was a fever dream of a summary of the game

Also recommend the game and the expansion, which includes a new mechanic and move-sets that drastically alter the base game. (and make it way easier frankly) If you want a good example of those, there are two videos which are pretty entertaining and meme-y by NCHProductions about “Before and After Iceborne”. The Rotten Vale has specific areas of the map with a yellow fog, which will slowly chip away at your health. Not enough to be DAUNTING, but enough to be worrying about if you’re fighting a monster in that fog. The solution is skills (from armor or jewels you put in armor slots) which reduce the effect of that disease, (until rank three which is immunity) or setting the ground on fire to push away the fog in a wide area for several minutes. Context for last one; you get an arm-mounted crossbow and grappling hook which shoots rocks, fruits, clumps of moss, lots of items that you find all over the environment which can be used against the monsters or to trigger environmental effects. There are flame stones which can be used to slightly burn the monster, or shot at the floor to create a fire that will hurt the monster whenever it steps in it. In the Rotten Vale those stones can blow away the disease fog when you hit the floor with them. If you do get the game, two bits of advice that will save your ass and I didn’t learn until after I had been playing the game for a YEAR.😑 1: Anjanath is a pink T-Rex that breathes fire. If you shoot water moss into his mouth when his throat is glowing orange (he’s pissed enough to start USING his fire on you) then he will be knocked on his ass. It’s honestly hilarious because he straightens up and flops backwards in a roll, like he just ran into a brick wall and knocked himself silly, lol. 2. Scatter Nuts and Crystals in the Elder’s Recess will automatically make any monster Flinch, barring for VERY specific attack animations. This includes Elder Dragons, who all have some type of super-attack. Flinching an Elder Dragon will make them abort their super-attack if it happens at the right time. If you fight Teostra (red lion dragon), his super move is rising in the air, building up power, and setting off BIG explosion. If you shoot HIM with a Scatter Nut or Crystal when he’s doing the charge-up part, he’ll not only abort the explosion, but all his stockpiled energy will be wasted, and it will take him awhile before he can store up enough juice to try and blow you up again.
