I just want to mention Rob Pelinka. This was Kobe Bryant's right hand/friend. At first no one wanted him except Jeannie. Was ragged on and then got AD. Put that '20 championship team together and wanted his "respect". Then that team broke apart, which i never understood. Got Westbrook, maybe out of his hands. Gave this team time to work while everyone called for his head, never worked. Kept AD when even I wanted him gone along with Brook. Under more pressure then anyone can even imagine, laker fans, lebron talking "still win on a team", analysts etc. somehow moves Brook, Beverly, Thomas Bryant who everybody questioned before knowing he asked out, Horton-Tucker who was still around because laker fans wanted to keep him, and a couple others for perfect, younger, peices. New team from game 1 was sooooo much better and continued getting better and now on the brink of the finals. Bravo Rob best gm since he's held that position. Go Lakers

Nobody expected anything from them. Never favored. Totally disrespected. They aren't favored against Denver either. Of course, who would with their record? But we shall see. Lakers and Miami, the two conference champs in the Bubble, are still in it. Lakers in 6, and then home court advantage against Miami in Finals! Lakers roll on to 18.

He struggled against the Warriors in the first few games. Dlo was better, which is why they started GP2 to stop him. Lakers are dangerous because you have no idea who their 3rd best player will be in any given game, quarter, or series. We just saw the Lonnie Walker game. We saw the Rui game against the Grizzlies. When Austin is on, he is their x factor tho.

I think it is going to be difficult that team stay together. There will be no problem with AR and may be Russell, but Lonnie Walker... i think Lakers won't offer him what he thinks he deserves and will walk away. Same for Hachimura, they both will be offered great deals someplace else.

@@ppunch7050 Its going to be a hell of a chess match. LBJ vs Joker's IQ, depth will be key, AD vs Joker adjustments will be key. If I'm the Lakers I double Jokic G1 with Vando and let AD lurk in the paint. Keep a man on Murray and let the others beat you, not Joker or Murray.

@@shenanigansfckery775317. I have seen them all going back to West and Chamberlain. All the ones I've mentioned have rings, Lebron, Magic and Kobe. Magic and Lebron are inclusive teammates. Kobe never was. Kobe was a shot maker-"give me the ball and I'll score."

If LeBron gets a 5th ring after passing Kareem for number 1, injuring his foot, and being 2-10 to start the year.. By putting out the 2nd seed with the DPOY, the defending champion in warriors, the team with the MVP Jokic, and potentially facing the Celtics and breaking that historic championship tie, this will be one of his greatest seasons of all time. The goat debate will resurface. 🐐

Reaves will eventually (maybe 2 years) develop into a player good enough to call this a big 3. Only his first playoffs. Dennis / Vando / Rui will remain as the defensive core/bench. DLo might have to leave if he really wants the bag. I'd love for him to stay and I'm sure he wants to but his pricetag is very high compared to the other players. Reaves is a 100% lock for LA and will prob bag 18-21 mil, deservedly so.

If they continue playing like agains the GSW..LeBron James may, after 18 years finally get his 5th NBA Championship chance. MJ took 6 in 15 seasons with a break in between and with only one team. James had to seek his luck with Miami, Cleveland and now Los Angeles. The guy must by tired after all the trying.
