so many climbers are so gatekeep-y about moves like this - it’s still fundamentally climbing in many ways so let setters have their fun! sometimes ‘it’s cool’ is a valid reason to do something 😎

For those of you complaining that this isn’t “real” climbing: if you wanna be a total purist, the point of climbing is to get from the bottom of a wall to the top and anything beyond that (including outdoor climbing or pursuing different routes) is just messing around. So why not just relax and appreciate the cool stuff these talented athletes are doing?
@asura8495
@asura8495 Ай бұрын
bet those purists use an unnatural gym with coloured and unnaturally smoth holds and unnatural added safety equipment. "back in my day we only climbed in nature without fancy stuff like helmets or ropes!"

It's a great boulder, very futuristic vision, just an outstanding piece of art of a routesetting. I applauded standing. For what reason someone should be destroyed by that? I think the overall grading is 7b ish maximum, the handstand part is not that hard once you learn the movement, the second part of the Boulder is much harder.

As the others said, it's a competition. Outside of competitions you get as much time as setters or nature give you, which is anywhere between days and millions of years.
