I don’t know why, but Dylan O’Brien does some shitty movies. I figured after the Maze Runner movies he’d be getting better roles by now. Or maybe he’s just getting bad scripts coming his way. It’s to bad, because he’s a good actor.

I would argue he is being more picky and actually choosing scripts he likes and believes in rather than choosing big budget movies just for the sake of fame and money. I think his choices probably reflect the kind of projects he wants to participate in.

I honestly just came here, cause I was high, with The Maze Runner playing in the background....and I was like "How come the Scorch Trials flopped?". Next thing I know, I'm hyperlinking my way to Dylan O'Brien. Then I was like, "They delayed a long time for the 3rd installment because of some accident" and out of morbid curiosity, after reading what I read, wanted to see if there was any like...noticeable damage. Think Mark Hamill in return of the Empire. But you know what I got outta this? A movie that I kinda really wanna see, lol

Dating N@zis has become a trend in Hollyweird. O'Brien's not the only young actor spotted with a wh!te power princess. Everyone from Chris Evans to Taylor Swift have been chopping it up with these demons. I'm highly suspicious that certain military entities are involved as well. It's a mess.

Better suited for this kinda role I would fathom, rather than trying(and failing) to portray Mitch Rapp....

He did a good job, its the plot of the film that let it down.

@@pipercharms7374 No, he really didn't but in fairness he was totally miscast in that role. Mitch Rapp character is one that would strike fear in the heart of most men and there's simply no way Dylan could convey that. Not his fault surely, as he was not in charge of casting. As a result, a promising franchise was killed before it began.

@@noeffenway7616 I completely disagree, mitch rapp at the start was only in his early twenties, people I think keep on comparing him to the older mitch rapp, and when you look at the reviews, the majority enjoyed Dylan's role in it. For me the plot was too predictible and they also made Mitch Rapp less of a prodigy and it felt less gritty, and it felt like a normal predictible action film, I also was annoyed when the psycologist stuff was left out, and the stuff with the guy who Mitch Rapp broke his arm in training and who turns out to be an enemy later on, can't remember his name as I think that added to the movie. I also enjoyed the scene over Mitch Rapp's first kill since it felt like that was a important moment for Mitch Rapp's character yet they left that out too.

@@pipercharms7374 Your point is not without merit, and it's clear you are a fan of Dylan. I stand by view though that casting Dylan as an apex predator was among the biggest casting blunders. That said, the entire movie was a fiasco, and very few fans of the book series liked it. As for the Mitch character... some men other men just instinctively know not to mess with. Mitch would have been one of those. Dylan will never be such a person, it's just how it is. It's not so much a knock on him as it is a simple fact. He seems like a nice guy, but nice guys are not apex predators...

So do the people who who enjoyed Dylan’s performance in the reviews also just Dylan fans so their point isn’t valid either? This stuff is just subjective anyway, I’m giving you my opinion, that I disagree with yours. We have a different idea as to how the film should have been presented and the performances clearly but just because your opinion is different than mine, doesn’t make it fact.

Sad that Dylan's career has been reduced to doing crappy movies like this and two-minute appearances on tv shows where he plays "himself" and ends up acting like a douche. Have no respect for him anymore, especially since he's dating a racist and supports her behavior. Won't be watching.
