I had my family over for the fights. They humor me on my birthday every couple years. They were so transfixed by Max's performance. The explosion of cheers was incredible. They were sending me Max memes the next day. It was the most fun we've had together as a family in almost 20 years. I have Max and Justin to thank for that.

I think Max is saying “the viral moments that get more fans are by fights, not by your mouth”. Jorge masvidal is a great example as well. That 5 second ko is what blew him up more than anything else. It’s like Michael Jordan said, his game is what spoke for him. It’s why a lot of ppl are done with Conor now.

Man people can hate Connor all they want... but the fact is that a huge chunk ofnthe people watching today started paying attention in the Connor era, and even now as a shadow of his former self, while everybody clowns him and he has t fought in years and haddent won in longer... the man broke the record for highest gate. Like MMW said a rising tide raises all ships, and Connor raised the tide

I said during the whole build up that Holloway vs Gaethje should've been the last fight on the card. No matter if the BMF belt isn't a real belt. There aren't more than a couple fighters who are bigger names than Max in my mind, I didn't understand the negative backlash to the card at all.

I was worried about Max too but Max has an amazing ability to put on beatings like a virtuoso. Max vs Aldo, Yair, Kattar, Ortega, and Korean Zombie were all next level performances against top tier competition. Not just wins but dominations just like he did with Justin. Who can't like Max. Max is the best featherweight in UFC history.

Everyone who who did the "Justin will sleep max" "end this man's whole career 💀" I had so much fun debating them and I ended up with a nice W at the end. If you can't put Ferguson away you sure as hell won't put Holloway to sleep. Holloway cemented his instant HOF election with this one.

I was there live. I had a perfect shot (was recording) with my Samsung super zoom, once that knockout happened, I was literally sobbing. A grown man sobbing. The greatest knockout I have ever seen. Two warriors, storied journeys, finally meeting for war. My friends, it was a war. Greatest thing I have ever seen, its making me emotional just writing and rewatching this video. He was 2 rows back, don't think he'd care or see it as disrespect, and yes the ufc rode his coat tales for a time there but they have been unbelievable to chuck. Firstly they paid him well for fights,he was getting $250,000 to show and $250,000 to win prior to becoming champ. Secondly they paid him a fat wage once retired to do a job doing ABSOLUTELY FUCK ALL, that lasted 7 years, they released him so he could fight Tito at 97yo and he's also recognised by the hall of fame etc, how are they treating him negatively

I was a super hardcore fan for 15+ years but over the last 5 I almost completely stopped paying attention to the sport. However when it comes to Max I will not ever miss. He’s box office. He’s all the things that are right about the sport. Pure warrior. Can’t miss ever.
