I really like this guy, if he talks about Vietnamese cuisine, he's even more knowledgeable than the original Vietnamese! You can eat Vietnamese national food that not many foreigners can eat, not only can you eat it but also feel like Vietnamese people. It's strange that he must have been Vietnamese in his previous life

I am Vietnamese and I haven't had shrimp paste. (Vegan.) Max is more Vietnamese than most Vietnamese people I know. I don't recall seeing shrimp paste at our family dinners growing up. Max was definitely Vietnamese in multiple lifetimes. He might have been the one who invented shrimp paste. 🙃

Those ladies were heartbroken that Chris didn't eat the shrimp paste. They will go home and tell their family how one of them ate it, but the other didn't. They will be like: "His Vietnamese was perfect, but he broke my heart for not eating the shrimp paste. The other boy's Vietnamese was okay, but he ate the whole thing. How could that be!!!!" This story will be passed from generation to generation. So cute!!! 🤗

When a child refuses shrimp paste, the ladies will be like: "How can you be Vietnamese and not eat shrimp paste?????? How???I will tell you a story about an American named Max... One day, I saw him eating shrimp paste with my own eyes. Not only he enjoyed the sauce, he savored every drop. His friend, on the other hand... Be like Mr. Max, child, and have a little mam tom. Do not be like Mr. Chris!!!" 🤣

What a great video, it shows a real appreciation for this beautiful country that is also so dear to my heart. I’ve been to Vietnam five times and I can’t wait for the next time. Sitting somewhere in an alley and a little plastic stool enjoying delicious Vietnamese food is one of the best things that can happen to you in this world.

I love that you took the time to go into the alleys. Honestly if you are vlogging naturally without trying hard to dig deep with the history or information it makes it more of a mystery or an adventure! She took her time making the fish sauce fresh and shrimp paste. Most others already prepare it a night or two ago. Especially in the streets. The veggies even look even fresher than restaurants

Havent been home in 3 years because of covid and other commitments. Literally watching this eating viet food alone in the cafeteria after a 10 hour shift at the hospital 😭 I miss Vietnam so much. Really appreciate you showing your love and passion for Vietnamese cuisine and culture ❤️

Đường đỏ là loại đường được làm từ cây mía đỏ thường được trồng vùng đất như tỉnh Thái Bình , Thanh Hóa, rất tốt cho sức khỏe như phổi tiêu hóa. Đường đỏ được làm bằng tay thủ công không có hóa chất rất sạch. đường đỏ rất ít chủ yếu dùng cho gia đình trồng mía đỏ, có vị ngọt thanh mát, dùng nấu chè. đường đỏ đắt hơn đường trắng. Đường trắng rất nhiều bán ở tạp hóa và các cửa hàng thực phẩm lớn. Đường đỏ chỉ bán ở chợ tạp hóa vì nó hiếm, nhiều người dùng và rất thích dùng nó. Max hiểu chưa????

ngày trước thấy mấy người đi du học cứ than thở không ăn được nhiều món, rồi mỗi lần về nước thứ họ mang theo nhiều nhất là mỳ tôm, mình cứ nghĩ bụng đồ ăn tươi thì không ăn ăn mì làm gì, mà làm gì đến mức độ không ăn nổi đồ ăn bên đó cứ làm quá, giờ thì mình đã hiểu rồi, vì ăn đồ Việt từ bé nên không nhận ra sự khác biệt, vì nó quá quen thuộc với mình, lớn lên đi làm giao tiếp nhiều cũng hay ăn đồ các nước nhiều, mình mới thấy với mình đồ ăn VN vẫn là ngon nhất

So jealous of Vietnamese speaking by Vlogger without interpreter or body language!!! I'm Thai+Viet trying to learn it for my next Vietnam trip. Wowwww your tone & accent is native and natural than mine.
