Playing faster live is pretty normal for a lot of bands, has to do with adrenaline mostly.

eh just you're opinion man. Some people like it. Doom metal is meant to be slow, but as long as it feels heavy its good. Shits heavier then most bands you or I listen to that we consider heavy by a wide margin. Sometimes it feels good to play fast mate. You should try it, but maybe you need to grow balls first.

Yeah but it ruins all the fun...these riffs are meant to be played in a slower tempo man..that's how my ear is used hearing them.
