Get rid of that 1/4 turn throttle. You have far less throttle control in your corners. I did the same with my bike and made me much faster and smoother. But don't just take my word for it...Watch this video then pay attention to your throttle control on the s1000rr. On the BMW you could maintain a steady throttle in turns. With the 1/4 turn its so touchy you're constantly on off the throttle and that's slowing you down and making it harder to keep a smooth line. Stay safe Wristy, kitty, bunny and crew. My r1 is the same in A mode with its flash/unrestricted tune. If i ride in std it changes the entire bike for the twisties. Makes the bike controllable, more precise, feels lighter, increases your confidence etc. That A mode is insane. You can blow on my throttle and your at 7k. one thing ive noticed though is that after riding in std for a long time switching over to A mode does become more manageable. Im sure a pro could comfortably rip it

is the diffirence between the 2020 BMW and this 2015 R1 that big? Or is Wristy still comprimised? And has Kitty gotten faster? Wristy never used to have a problem catching Kitty earlier this year. Good rinding all 3!!

A lot of it is that 1/4 turn throttle... And the R1 suspension. It could be set up better. Keep in mind he's running with a bad wrist/hand. That shit takes months to heal. And the R1 is a notorious head shaker. They feel very loose under the rider . Having rode and raced with oem and 1/4 turn . It's very hard to get use to and adapt to a 1/4 turn and be smooth in the corners. All that on and off throttle, really dlows him down entering turns and maintaining a smooth line. The cross plane engine is a beast but not nearly as responsive as the BMW. Kitty is faster. Using the upper body more and getting that helmet out inline with the mirrors, rather then hanging both ass cheeks off the seat and sitting crossed up is really improving kitty's skills and abilities.

@@laservlx all real gd points. I think with the r1 (I got a 2018) it's basically so track focused it's sometimes a bit compromised on the road. I felt faster on the road on my softer l5 gsxr750. I worry that the throttle chopping mid turn gonna catch him out soon must be asking lot of the front end

Hardly any cars on the twisties how dose this happen??? here in australia melbourne there would be so many cars its hard to get a good run through the twisties!!!!!

I was thinking same thing but who am I to say anything he is still levels above me but it dose seem he is a little Hesitant Could be hes fresh from that accident mixed with on a new bike hes not that familiar with but for sure looks To be taken it easy which is insane considering the way hes riding we call that easy for him lol
