This is what made the Pats great. Practice in the summer, between mates, was at the same intensity of a game. Not just throwing the ball around at the beach.

When Tom needed it, it was going to Jules or Gronk. At least in those later years. Guys he could trust, like Jules says here.

@@jimmyryder8850 Glad somebody else noticed Playoff Amendola's contributions. Dude was *money* when it mattered. I'll say this: the '14 Patriots had a better WR/TE corps than '07 did. Gronk, Julian, and Danny were superior than Moss, Welker, and Watson.

Aaron Rodgers has his place in history of the NFL for sure but when you hear things about him like not meeting up with his new rookie receivers, not really knowing their names are meeting them until they’re on the field throwing a ball to them for the first time like did Rogers ever really wanna succeed?

I heard a Navy seal tell how they lost the most guys in training. What would happen is they would be on a long run and would be making their way to the dormitory. Instead of stopping the instructors had them run past it. Guys thinking the run would be over would quit. They might only go a couple of hundred yards past the dorm and turn around to finish the day. Too late for the guys that just quit.

Edelman is worth every dollar in the post season. He brings it all to the games that count. So glad he got MVP of his last Super Bowl. And on a reconstructed knee, don't forget. He's got a prototype NFL mindset. Plus, look how he put the top Seattle safety out of the game with a broken wrist for having the nerve to intercept Brady. The little things add up. Who knows, if that guy played safety the rest of the game, Patriots might have lost that Super Bowl, since he'd be jacked by his interception.

How are you going to base an entire podcast episode off a 5 minute clip? They dove into Julian and his story, Brady was Julian’s QB coming in fresh as an underdog, a huge factor as to why Julian Edelman became a name people knew.
