Heres a Maxxis Carnivore Vs Roxxzilla Vs Tusk Terrabite Vs EFX Motoclaw Vs Bighorns Review video. Over the past few years we have ran a few different tires and we give our opinion and experience with all of these tires and how they compare to the Carnivore. We are by no means sponsored by anyone and this is a honest review video.
Check out the abuse these tires took while we were down in Tennessee at windrock off road park!

I have 32" Carnivores on my 2016 YXZ with a 4+4 15" rim size. I have my shocks set at Yamaha max hardness spring setting, but backed off the soft, hard, and rebound gas settings to gain the smoother ride back. I have no issues with rubbing at all or tearing stuff up yet. I do some trail and mud riding in Southern Louisiana swamps. I do believe over time the harder strain the 32s produce will burn up the rekluse and stock clutches I'm running, but no issues yet since I've bought it in 2016 (Carnivores only been on for about 6 months so still trial and error.). Besides that...the tires are awesome.

Hey there Josh, I just installed the same bumper on my yxz as you have. I'm installing the winch this week. Omg getting them 2 long allen bolts in that go in the back to the front are a nightmare because of the front differential, you got any secrets to getting them in easier? I would love to have the spare tire mount but for $500 they can keep it . Thanks

I don't have a 4x4. So I mostly do dirt roads. But a couple of years back I came to the conclusion that the style of the tread is either completely unimportant or at the least it comes in second after the gap between lugs on the tire as what is important when talking efficiency for off road use. These tires seem to confirm this idea.

I recently went to 32” carnivores on my YXZ and I can tell immediately that rock crawling is going to be more challenging with them. I had 30” Aftershocks and wanted more ground clearance with my next tires so that’s why I went 32’s. Weight difference was minimal, 50.5# for aftershocks, and 53.8# for the larger carnivores on the same rims. I can tell you that the carnivores have so much more grip I’ll probably be lucky if I don’t kill axles with them! Anyway, good review!

I’ve got the terrabites on my xp1000. They do great on nice hard packed surfaces but as soon as you hit a sandy patch it makes the whole machine feel like you’re in a boat an suddenly cutting power. Just instantly bogs down. They also really suck in any sort of decent snow depth. I’ve pretty much been limited to just zipping around neighborhood roads all winter because anything else I’ll just get stuck.

Carnivores have become our go to tire on our SxS's, run them on a General 4 (30"). and Rzr HL (32"). We run them at 10psi also with beadlocks with absolutely no issues. Will definitely keep running them for our main tire. Great review, thanks.

Gonna say this, currently on my 4th set of Motoclaws, I'll take them 3:1 over Carnivores any day. I don't have to worry about the sidewalls being weak/thin etc. Riding in Kentucky, Tennessee, and WVa. I've never had a flat, puncture, or lack of performance from Motoclaws.

Great info video. I’m in Tennessee and was thinking of getting 32s for my xp1000. Mostly for clearance. The carnivores are at the top of the list with the pro armor crawler xg. Weight is my biggest concern so 30s might be the way to go. Keep the videos coming!!!

@Gregory Gresham i did 28x10 front and rear with same size all the way around with sti wheels. Maybe a few pounds heavier but unnoticeable in when driving. Stock no lift never rubbed on any trail or even towing or plowing. Great upgrade, very tough tire haven't gotten a flat with 500 miles on them. Big horns would get flats every other ride and wear extremely fast

I have the RMAX2 1000 that came with Carnivores. Have over 1100 miles on them. They work great I probably have @5% pavement. I am going to rotate as the back have about 25-35% tread wear and the fronts have about 20%. You take the good with the bad. You cant have a good hard compound tire that will do 10K miles on pavement and still get up slick rocks in 40-60 degrees outside. Its worth the $600 every 3K miles to get into a new set of great tires.

I'm like y'all said each person has their on opinion on tires everybody told me that Black Mambas were way to heavy being I went with 32" x10" and then mounted them on 10" wide wheels for the floatation to cross extremely soft mud that has no bottom from where cows are fed. I can cross it by staying on top instead of digging down trying to find the bottom. Don't get me wrong I have several other sets of tires for what I am riding
