We do a tire review of the Maxxis Carnivore tires. Tyler has been running these tires on his Polaris RZR 1000 XP for about 500 miles and gives us his opinion of how they been doing. If you looking for a light tire that is a pretty good all around tire this is the tire for you!

I'm running 32 Carnivores on a stock Maverick X3 XRS in Sand Hollow at 15 PSI. Very Good to Excellent in Sandy Trails and Small Dunes. Better than most at rock crawling, even at 9 PSI with no beadlock failure. 600 miles on them, lots of tread left.

Earlier today I bought a set of new tires. Every distributor was out of 30”, 32”, and 34” Carnivores. I ended up buying a set of 30” System 3 XTRs.

Nice review👌We run the 30” carnivores too. 2000 miles so far and they are about half tread. Good bit of road riding on them as well, I agree with how they perform on the rocks, Im not impressed. I also noticed they like to slide down into ruts rather easily where other tires we’ve had didn’t. We will be switching up tires next round also.

I bought a set of MU9H (take offs) and the performed decent but I think the sidewalls might be a lil thin and they are 28" and now I high center on every ledge that I used to not h/c on before. I need to go back to 32's the get enough ground clearance. I'm thinking that the Rockzillas may be the right tire. Anybody else have an opinion?

A little bit on the shorter side once they are installed and if you run lower air pressures.

Running 20 psi is going to cause more punctures more wheel spin and increased wear so yawl need to be more aware they won't outdo xm270 or Rockville but air down to about 10 psi 7 if u have beadlocks and they grip and wear great also the ride is amazing

@@Anthony-pi6pf running that much causes the center lugs to ride high instead of flat across the tread block.. Also to much air pressure means no give in the rubber where before it could give an deflect a little it can't now and just punctures.. More air means no flex so the tire can conform to the rocks or to clean out that's why people run double beadlocks so they can have very little air and get maximum traction in the rocks or mud. I ran 12 psi iny 32 maxxis carnivore's on my 4 seater 1000 xp it my 4 seater can a 2 seater can swing 10 no problem

@Anthony did you watch Brian Fischers tire traction video. Some tires are not meant to be ran at 20 plus psi such as the Sedona Rockabilly (8psi). Also the Maxxis website says 18 psi is the max psi to run this tire. I did watch shock therapy's video and honestly no disrespect to them but they are not a tire manufacturer and they are giving general tire advice not meant for certain tires!

Hey fellas. I’m on the hunt for a new set of 30’s for my 2018 general. I can get my hands on a set of carnivores or a set of M2 evils. What would you pick if you where me. Thanks.

The carnivore side walls are so weak it makes me not be a fan of them. The M1 evils are a pretty long lasting tire which would make me think the m2s would be good

@@Trailnecks thanks so much. I’ll give the m2 evils a try. There a bit less as well. Keep up the great job work on the videos. They really helped me narrow down my selection when trying to choice a tire.

People keep saying weak side walls, I’ve never puntured side wall on one and run a lot of rough trails, run the xtr370 now and don’t like it near as good, way to heavy, robs all power from machine, the xtr370 does have a little deeper lug though, just my opinion
@Trailnecks
@Trailnecks 10 ай бұрын
Depends on if it was a factory tire or bought aftermarket. 370s do rob power but they are alot more durable than the carnivore. I know guys who have gotten sidewall puctures from loading onto their utility trailers with Carnivores.
