I have a story to tell you. A while ago I took the tour at Universal Studios. The driver stop at the Bates house. He told us a story that Jim Carry was filming on at the studio. He had a break so he went into the props department and got the bates dress,wig and knife. So the driver said when he stopped at the building, out jumps someone in the bates mother clothes, came out the door screaming. Ran out jump on top of the tour bus. Jumped off the other side and ran through the field below. Later they found out it was none other than Jim Carry. 😉😜😁

My main problem with this movie is the 3rd act as I felt it was too predictable and lackluster. I can't believe Ti West couldn't have come up with something better than what we saw in this film. Love Mia Goth and Kevin Bacon was awesome in his role as the sleazy PI. I would rank the series, X, Pearl, and MaXXXine. Excellent review guys.

Tricky...X is my number one spot...but number 2 might be Maxxxine 'cause even though there was a handful of things I really hated about it haha I loved a lot about the film. Pearl was really good, doesn't have many faults, but it maybe loses spot number 2 for being less my jam in general - maybe it deserves better but I'll rank it 3rd :)

My rankings of the films differ by mood probably. 1. Maxxxine 2. X 3. Pearl But if my mood changes and I’m diggin something more artsy I might say Pearl. Something I want to add to this review that I caught while watching Maxxxine that I thought was genius but maybe more subtle. (SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT) Elizabeth tells Maxine to squash all her beefs and show up Monday obsessed… Maxxxine squashes Kevin Bacon and flattens his big Texas accent. Beautiful. Second, there are multiple references and expressions early about doing whatever it takes to get to the top. Maxine handling her situation has her climbing to the top of the Hollywood hills where she is underneath the Hollywood sign… doing anything it takes to get to the top. I love those little clever and deliberate uses of the phrases for key moments. I loved the film. Great review. I agree with it entirely. I’m looking forward to spending a day watching them all in succession.

My ranking is Pearl, X, MaXXXine! I watched MaXXXine yesterday at the cinema and came out a bit disappointed, maybe my expectations were too high, but it was a mixed bag for me, a lot of aspects I loved and a lot of aspects not so much! But it's definitely one of the best modern horror trilogies!

X is my favorite then Pearl then Maxxxine

I had to walk out of this movie today. I was so bored. Someone else walked out too. I didn’t like Pearl at all either. So this trilogy was poor for me
