@@LessPegasus Nobody ever said they did not....I've been an A24 fan from the start....but there was a time wen Hollywood at least tossed out the OCCASIONAL delight.....2018....A24 gives us Hereditary, but Hollywood also gave us Annihilation....they cant even do that anymore.

X just looked like a 70s version of cabin in the woods without the monsters or whatever. These films kind of suck

When I first saw X, I just thought it was ok.....because I could not grasp the old lady character. But then they released ​Pearl, which totally explains that character. In a very rare instance of a prequel making a first film better and explaining it, Pearl makes me like X better the second time around. Say what you like....that's not an easy feat......Look at how bad Furiosa tanked and that has a much higher budget than these films. And, alrhough it's a decent film, I did. It get the same feeling of understanding of the first film that I got with Pearl. So I myself am excited to see Maxxxine, in this day of Hollywood garbage, I think they have proved themselves to be three very interesting films at a time where very little is interesting. I'd much rather watch these films than another lame Transformers film or a huge Marvel CGI fest. @@Snakeskinboots

I am the opposite lol. I enjoyed X. Thought Pearl was overrated. Not awful but not great either. From this trailer and the cast, looks like Maxxine has a different style than both. Pretty pumped up

@@UlassG I think that’s what makes the trilogy so beloved. They’re very different movies and I think in the end almost every horror fan will at least enjoy one of them because of that.

I think watching the movies in reverse helps. I saw Pearl before I saw X. Not intentionally though but it did make these interesting connecting things within the universe.

X took exactly one month to film. Then Pearl took seven weeks and Maxxxine also took seven weeks to film. Obviously editing and post production had to be done afterwards, but even so.

The dollars trilogy also was made really fast, 3 movies in 1964-1966, and when you think of how the last one is 3 hours long, and how tricky some of it scenes were to shoot, it was quite an achievement.
