Ti West did not plan on a sequal/prequal let alone a third movie. Mia Goth got so into character as old Pearl that she started to create a back story and run ideas off Ti. Mia and Ti then just ran with the idea of young Pearl. That is why Mia has writing credits on Pearl. Then Ti decided to just do a trilogy jumping forward in time. That is why they they filmed X and Pearl back to back. If it wasn't for Mia, we would have no Pearl are Maxxxine. Girl deserves her flowers.

I've only seen X, adding Pearl to my list! I was intrigued by the Wizard of Oz homage in the trailer!

@SoImWatching Oh boy, what a journey that was. Mia does the most face acting of anyone ever. I'm definitely gonna see her face from the end scene as I fall asleep tonight.
