Born in Cork on May 25, 1976, Cillian Murphy started his love for performing on stage in a band before turning to theatre thanks to playwright Enda Walsh who cast him in his play: "Disco Pigs”.
Throughout his career Cillian Murphy has been staying true to his theatrical roots and regularly performs on stage (“Misterman", "Grief Is The Thing With Feathers", “Ballyturk", "The Shape of Things", "Juno and the Peacock", etc…)
His Irish roots nurturing his appetite to experiencing the work led him to expand his artistic reach internationally on TV (Peaky Blinders”, etc…) and on screen with films like "28 Days Later”, “Inception”, “The Wind That Shakes The Barley”, “Sunshine”, “The Dark Knight”, “Anthropoid”, “Red Lights”, “Breakfast on Pluto”, etc…)
