I heard that Martha Wells has an issue with signing like her hands are having painful issues but she tried to sign all the books anyone. Very nice of her if that's the case.

I'm not one for contemporary romance but that cover redesign from afterlife is gorgeous. About the Illumicrate VS Fairyloot mythology boxes : Fairyloot has probably by far the better book (but not mythology related so uh ??) but Illumicrate had by far the best items and the box made more sense. The Crescent City set by Fairyloot is definitely the better one too. I enjoyed the Illumicrate May box too (especially the flower pot !)

with Martha Wells, her fantasy books and her Murderbot novellas are very different. If you dont like her fantasy I would still give Murderbot a chance.

I have the same thoughts about crescent city. Buying every edition available because HOEAB is my favourite but I REALLY hope Maas is going somewhere good - cuz HOSAB didn’t hit for me! IC had a very strong item month, the plant pot is so cute. I skipped as the book didn’t appeal but I love the endpapers so 👏🏻 Nice to see some higher quality items from FL but mythology is very specific and not my thing. With only one of the items being bookish, it was a bit of a meh box for me. THE BOOK THOUGH! So STUNNING! So happy with the edges 😍 much prefer to the original design. Can’t wait to get a book only invite. The adult FL as always, beautiful! ADORE THE ARTIST! Defo an upgraded cover.

FYI Witch King and Murderbot are the same author, but you'd never be able to tell. So I wouldn't use it as a litmus test for Martha Wells. (Also the Witch King audiobook is getting very bad reviews, but the physical book seems to be getting good reviews, though also people seem to find it confusing and go back to re-read bits, based on all the reviews I've seen.)
