Hello I am Suzanne, I am a small scale flower farmer and florist located in Devon in the Uk zone 8B.
I grow on a small cut flower plot of 16 x 13 metres, and also have a cottage style garden.
I grow my flowers to sell predominantly as pre ordered retail bouquets and also provide florals for small events.
I grow without the use of chemicals, and try to garden in away that benefits nature.
My channel is very casual and low tech with all filming and editing being done by myself, content is a real mix of both gardening, cut flower production and floristry.
In this video we take a tour ofthe cut flower patch at the end of May.
If you would like to support my channel and help me fund my camera and microphone for filming you can now buy me a coffee by following this link www.buymeacoff.... Thank you 🌸

You have worked so hard Suzanne.Your garden is looking great. You are so honest about everything, it makes me feel better about all my failures too.Its so hard to keep up with all the jobs at this time of year. I can’t wait to see how it all develops during the Summer.

Thank you for your very kind words, very glad I make you feel better about failures. I always wanted to keep the channel real from the start, I don’t only garden when the sun is shining in my Sunday best 😉 happy growing 🌸

Thanks I enjoyed this insight; it helped me understand that not all things succeed and you've just got to keep going 👍

Thank you, every growing season throws us different challenges and we all become better at what we do by learning from our fails. Hopefully anyway, happy growing 🌸

It looks very neat and tidy. Now all we need is some decent weather to get things moving. I'm also losing the battle with slugs and snails - they've annihilated my daucus and discus and are now going for the craspedia 😮

Not sure how long it will stay neat and tidy 🙈 so disheartening when they eat a whole crop, Didiscus must be particularly tasty. Yes some fine weather would be wonderful 😊

Great tour. Looks super organised. So nice to see someone else with fails. Total strawflower fail for me but I do have celosia that is slightly bigger… Ying and yang! I have been out at night negotiating with my slugs and they are still succeeding more than ever before! Thanks for another great video.

Very kind thank you. I sometimes feel like social media makes everything look easy and perfect, and it’s just not realistic for a lot of us, I learn from my mistakes constantly well I hope 😊 yes the dark hours are definitely good slug stalking, good luck and happy growing 🌸

Ooh, you're braver than me squishing slugs with your bare hands! I have slug traps with the cheapest supermarket beer I can find but emptying them is disgusting. I'm just desperate for some dry weather to hopefully help. Your plot is looking great, you've obviously been very busy and it shows ☺️ I love your use of stock fencing for support, I'm looking at getting some myself, what size square are they, some I'm looking at I think look too small to allow plants to grow through. Do keep posting the good, the bad and the ugly, it's inspiring and cheering in equal measure ☺️

I can’t use beer traps as my dogs just keep drinking it 🙈. I love the stock fence but it is expensive so I have only purchased one roll, and will just use string for the remaining beds. The stock fence has 6 “ holes. Thank you for the encouragement, it definitely helps with the motivation 😊happy growing 🌸

We feed 4 hedgehogs that come to the garden....They are great for eating all of the pesky slugs...Don't put slug pellets down...😊

Very jealous of your hedgehogs, never seen any around this area, but it is like watership down with rabbits everywhere, don’t worry definitely will not be using slug pellets 🌸
