Thanks for the reminder about sewing a couple stitches or so across a corner - I tend to forget this but it definitely does make a better corner!

Thank you for this great idea for left over 10 inch squares. I love using up scraps and giving little gifts to my friends. These are perfect!

Very cute and easy. An alternative to cutting off the corner excess and zig zag finishing, is to bind the edge for a cleaner finish. Either with one of the 2 fabrics or a complementary fabric. As is, it would be a cute retreat tool basket. The internal corner pouches could hold small scissors, seam ripper, marking pen, and then the main cavity for many other items.

I made a couple of these years ago and forgot how. I've been looking for instructions to make more recently so your tutorial was perfect timing. I used Soft & Stable instead of fleece in mine. I use it as a catchall for retreats and it holds its shape even after its been packed flat multiple times.

Very cute and very useful!❤ So glad to see someone addressing the cutting of the batting and or felt 1/4” small on all sides. If you would like the bottom to be a little firmer you use a stiffer fusible piece just in the center (so that means cutting out a square and putting in the firmer piece there or you could make a decorative bottom for the inside of the basket.

@marshacowan59772 ай бұрын
I love your idea of making a set of three. I would cut down the size of two squares to 8” and the third one 6”. Try that and see what you think. Please let me know how that goes.

Hello so many helpful tip. Did you change your block you started with. You had cherry and flowers or did I miss something?
@sandan2358Ай бұрын
I think I’ll make one & use the button. What is the finished size of the basket ? I want to keep it next to my machine as a thread catcher if it’s not too big.

Can you tell me how you quilted the square? I love the pattern 12:29

I like to sew these but I always tack down the 4 little corners. It makes it more stable and they are mostly useless to hold anything.

Cute idea. - you spent nearly 2 minutes to say put a layer of adhesive fleece between layers of fabric. Maybe trying scripting a little bit first.
@marshacowan59772 ай бұрын
I realize I repeated myself quite a bit. This was a Facebook Live that I did and we just posted the video after the live was over. I apologize for saying the same thing over and over. I’ll try and get a script together for my next one. I appreciate your feedback. Enjoy the project.

I can not believe that you could be so rude about how she explained the fleece! Did that make you feel like a bigger person? If it bugs you that much then don’t watch!

@@tobybishop5036 Well, instead of being a bitch you should have read the response, SHE appreciated it when she responded to me. Videography is not an easy skill and if people aren’t HONEST with them then they don’t learn. Obviously you on the boat of lying to people instead of being truthful.
