Very nice video! FYI It wasn't a dud, just needed a little poking to get some oxygen under the wood with the explosion!

We always take broken pallet wood camping. Burns great. I’m the fire starter and use fire starter block and lighter cardboard and kindling size pallet wood. But also will use what’s available in my environment . Bark especially …burns so well.

Hello Brian, I noticed you removed the plastic plug on your water heater. Replaced it with the valve that plastic plug is for safety. Too much pressure builds up in the water heater. The plug is designed to let go. You might want to rethink that. 0:04

Best to carry water. One day you're going to arrive at a CG and they will not have water or the water has been turned off. Now what. Always disinfect the water spigot before using it, so many people will stop and use it for their black tanks and portable toilets.

I've never been to a campground where they had no water. Only in winter they turn off the water.

@@MuskokaAdventures Just a FYI, I've been to a number of State, Federal and private CG where the water pipes were turned off for repair, the campgrounds still remained open except for not having water and restrooms. You're not saving much on MPG if that's your concern

As a plumber I don't know if trailer water heaters are the same as house but it's not really a good idea to use the relief valve so much to get the air out due to any kind of dirt clogging the relief valve. If there is a valve at the bottom like house water heaters that would be your best bet

Thanks for the comment. Been camping all my life. This will be my third pop-up camper I've owned. This is the best one yet. The only thing I don't like about it is the time to set up and take down. It takes too long.

One way to have hot water without using propane is to use a large coffee urn that plugs into 110 wherever it is convenient.

When we going camping 95% of the time we get a site with no power. Sites are easier to get and cheeper.

@bullymac68 I'm not talking about just wood. I'm talking about firewood. Firewood made for buying at campsites, cooking wood and wood for warming house. That wood can't pass production for those uses. Bagged, mass produced camp fire wood or cooking wood wouldn't be treated

My trailer is a 2013 Jayco 1006. This is Turkey Point Provincial Park located in southern Ontario near the shores of Lake Erie. I always choose provincial parks because their sites are bigger and more private.
