Maya: The Camera Sequencer

In some cases your client wants you to render a preview of an animation with several camera cuts. This is hard to arrange and visualize in the standard viewport. Here the Camera Sequencer comes in handy. And you can render the sequence with the Ubercam.
We start, as always, from scratch, with a robot performing a flip. All this in 6 minutes. Enjoy!

I was always told not to do this because of the motion blur, but at the end of the day it's just one frame after each cut, way worth it for the time you save rendering! Super useful tutorial, also I love the old school ui of this tool hehe

LOL... I love how you show all the steps but then theoretically say your screwed in the end by motion blur and then don't explain how to address it.

I think it's a setting you turn off manually in the Arnold Render settings. I'm still new to Maya, but it seems if you go to Render Settings > Arnold Renderer > Motion Blur, you can enable, disable, or choose not to give the cameras motion blur

My cameras have been animated and when I create the ubercamera it doesn't show the animation. Is there any setting I can change to fix this?

i cannot try this out. reason: autodesk changed its policy for educators.

sorry for you. i quite enjoyed composing the intro music. no further SHORTS in my pipeline. so, peace of mind for you.

A cursory glance would indicate to me that your content is pretty good so it's a bit of a shame that the lyrics in the intro and background music are awkward. It's good to enjoy your work, but perhaps getting a second and third opinion would be a good idea before putting it out into the world. Even if you did have shorts in your pipeline, I doubt it would have any effect on my peace of mind@@Uhr24
